I scored 96% on the glasses
80 something % on the names
    and 78% on the faces.

So I might not remember your face, I have a better chance of remembering your name.. but I'm almost sure of recognising your eye wear !!

98% on the faces (which is true, I am good at remembering a face)
    88% on the glasses
67% on the names (again I am useless at remembering names )

    Re: Common conditions

Well above average in all three

Face - 90% (I am pretty good at remembering faces, and things about people)
    Objects - 94%
Verbal - 83% (I did press the wrong number on one though by accident, so should have been slightly higher - this one is odd though as I am hopeless at remembering names, particularly with time delay).

Beo - be aware, I'm good at remembering things...

According to the version I did the last bit was verbal recognistion (not visual) and the average was 77%...

or does that prove your point...?

74 for faces, 78 for objects (mind you - I was interrupted for ten minutes in the middle of this one, so I might do better a second time), and 67 for verbal. No wonder I keep offending people by not recognising them

    Re: Common conditions

well I had a nice surprise... was expecting my score to be terribly low (I seem to have some memory issues at the moment), but in the end I got:
    96% on faces
    90% on objects
92% on names (good one since I would expect this memory to be better if the names were French)

still, I'm confused, I had the impression that I 'guessed' more than half of the answers.

Way back you were one of the people that I might have offended because I could not place you after you said we had danced together at Luton. It now appears that you are very good at what I am very bad at, and were even less likely to understand that I could have had a great dance with you, but not be able to place you afterwards.
Oddly enough when with occasional partners I often remember my partners dance style before remembering my partner.

You did. We all do. The brain uses "fuzzy logic", which is not amenable to description. We would need a brain N times bigger to understand how we do it.

    Re: Common conditions

of course its harder for us.. not only do we have to memorise names, faces and eye wear.. we have to remember their forum aliases and whether they like pretzels or not

yeah, I know. What I mean is that there were instances when I was absolutely certain of my choice (whether I had seen it before or not), but those seemed less frequent than the instances where I really wasn't sure and it felt like a guess.

    Re: Common conditions

Haven't done the test but my face recognition is usually good, but has anyone noticed that at Ceroc most men have a double. It makes for a lot of confusion.

Personally I can never remember names.

Someone once told me, that if you can't remember the persons's name and you need to introduce the person say "This is....... I'm so sorry, your name has completely slipped my mind." instead of not bothering to introduce the person, which is far ruder.

    Faces: 94%
Objects (I knew I'd do well on this, I'm good at pattern recognition as well): 96%

    Re: Memory tests

Oh dear I didn't do too well with the names - only 50% but got 82% on the faces and 92% on the glasses. Now give me sets of numbers and I might have stood a better chance!

A male friend thought a girl was schrizophenic as sometimes she was well friendly and other times refused to dance with him. Eventually it turned out that it was two seperate girls who were cousins.

I have checked with a few guys and some of them have never met their clone, so not all are relatives.

Even weirder - the male clones often have the same dancing styles.

Object recognition 72% - surprised it was that high, i really didnt think i had a clue most of the time - almost in the impairment category for this one Maybe being someone who doesnt wear glasses (even sunglasses) i am at a disadvantage here?

    Verbal recognition 75%
