    Is it rabies??

So here I am sitting at home and staring at me through the patio window is my cat or maybe its someone elses. Not sure what is wrong with it but its doing a very good 'Turner and Hooch' impression with drool hanging down each side of its mouth. Its been like it now for 2 days but is eating and drinking normally. Is it rabies?

I let him in last night and this morning his basket was full of slobber!

The vet has no idea what is wrong! anyone else have a pet like this?

if its eating and drinking normally - it is not rabies. Sounds like it has been, or is being, poisoned. Any neighbours that hate cats?

It looks like someone is trying poison your cat.

Do you have any cat haters near by? It's possible to kill a cat quite easily with headache tablets and other household products.

Last it was the second resort! first being the vet. I asked on here as I know lots of other forumites have moggies of their own. Vets just say bring the cat in and will charge me £100 for sticking a themometer up his bum and will possibly give him an injection. Usually followed up but another £100 appointment the following week. Sis reckons he may have eaten slug pellets.

Going to North Finchley vets later so watch for a big box on your door stop Mr James

No...I can't make such an obvious joke when you are worried about your cat.

It probably is something like that, hopefully your cat will make a full recovery.

Dont worry DT I am not really an animal love so you can say what you like about the cat. As I say to my sister the only place for animals in my house is the fridge (will make an exception for the cat though wouldnt want a slimey fridge).

Thanks! You've just given me the answer to a quiz question I've been battling with...

"Who was the female henchman in the James Bond film 'Goldfinger'?"

    Good luck with your moggy

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I live almost opposite them

Still, big boxes are always welcome
