Prob been done before, but times change as do forumites (except DJ. Can't belive he will ever cheer up)
Inspired by Martins comment
What do you keep in your dance bag (other than shoes)
I try and keep in there plasters, deodorant, wet wipes (brilliant if put in freezer prior to going out), cooling gel, after shave and swiss army knife (though needed it for the first time in all the years I carried it last night and it wasn't in there)
Cheese and onion crisps, not.

she didn`t need any encouragement last saturday night!! you emptied your MJ Move manual onto the dancefloor and she wasn`t reluctant at all......
There's been a few threads about this before, like this one. I think Sheepman wins when it comes to ridiculous amounts of rubbish he carries around with him in his VERY LARGE dance bag!
Arnica homeopathic tablets from Boots.
If I get injured, one disolved under the tongue, (without water) will stop a minor injury developing and also stop swelling.
That is a LOT, although that was 2003, so still worth talking about up to date what people take.
I did not mention....
Pack of music CD's
1 suitable for a beginner revision class
1 suitable for a beginner class
1 suitable for an intermediate class
10 of general music, in case the music system used breaks down and CD's are needed.
In the car boot I keep a CD player.
Not that I run the venues here, but they have been called upon a few times. Something goes wrong... I can still dance and have a good evening
Teachers forget music for the class... still no problem
1 bottle of water - always, although not taken out in venues where not allowed, still good for the journey home.
Mints
Computer memory stick
Plastic bag for "sweaty" tops.
All fits in a normal size bag.
Has anybody mentioned their trophy/ies yet?
btw are the plasters usually for dansels in distress or for unfortunate victims of your own exuberance?
Small towel or flannel
Deodorant
Fan
Insoles for my shoes
That's about it - I always have mints, make-up, perfume, pain killers, etc. with me anyway, so it's not specific to the "dance bag". Might take Astro's suggestion and start carrying Arnica - I have some at home left over from the accident.
One thing that I'm curious about - we see men referring to the changing of their tops. Do many women carry spare tops with them and change them? I have done it in the summer when it's been very hot, but generally I'm wearing an "outfit" which means a dress or a skirt/trousers and top that go together. I don't generally buy multiple tops that are identical as it would be too expensive.
I stopped doing it, we should take a spare just in case.
I like to keep the weight down in my bag though.
A male dancer split his trousers one night, early on, and had to go home.
I see Sheepman carries spare trousers.
I thought your Air Conditioning actually works in Oz. (unlike here)
Just went through my bag last night actually, I found:
- Big bag of Mars Bars
- Tissues
- Chewing Gum
- Deodorant & Aftershave
- Condoms - Don't ask...
- Sponge bob Cheque book... Still not used this
- Oh, and shoes of course
my dance bag gets to be a bit of bottomless pit but useful
and there are two levels
small - generally use this for short social events
3 pairs of shoes
spare top
arnica cream
ibiprofen
shoe brush
mints
deoderant
normal - use this for longer events and workshops, training etc
3 pairs of shoes
arnica cream
ibiprofen
shoe brush
strapping tape of various sizes
salonpas
saftey pins
sissors
spare heel covers
elastaplast
thera band
deoderant
mints
notebook & pen
wrist support
couple of tops
spare skirt & Trousers
