    The unofficial Weekender

Been talking about organising a few weekenders in places like butlins etc during quite periods in the weekenders calander.

Idea would be mass book an over 18's weeknder at Butlins. No classes during day just chilling out and the music and bands in the eve.

First one I was thinking off is weekend of 6th July in Bognor. Headlining are the mighty Chas n Dave

A group of dancers looking great in front of muggles and all getting to know each other ... I like it.

Chas 'n' Dave --- you have lost me now though.

    Any other options.

    Yeah

Chas n Dave, I recognise the names. I can't make 6th July tho I'll be too busy saying "Semicircle to the left n step back!"

It's not such a bad idea, but for a lot of people it's a long way and a fair expense... Especially with the quality and quantity of the music, floor and dancers all unknown.

Good luck if you decide to go ahead with it though.

Actually, it was John Sullivan who sang it. He wrote it too.

I believe the correct saying is "semicircle to the left and both step back"

which at the beginning I thought was 'bow step back', which I thought was a little weird, but hey in those days I thought modern jive (well, ceroc), was a weird dance anyway. I was a bit surprised some people were not bowing more (it did seem to me that some people were indeed bowing though )

It took me a very, very long time to realise the teacher was in fact saying 'both'
