I like the name "Modern Jive".
I like the name "Ceroc(tm)".
I like another related name like "French Jive", "LeRoc", etc.
I'd like there to be a different name for this dance.
I don't mind either way...
Surprisingly, I quite like "French Jive". It sounds cute, if a little euphemistic.
In the US, I believe there's a MJ class called "Free Step". (Or something like that!)

How about 'easy jive'
Or would Stelios want a share?

Erm.....how about........LEROC. Definitely a dance style and not a company name...
Although it has the French influence and background, it is a somewhat different to what the French actually do now ............so
BritJive - can't have UKJive unfortunately however IMO it does sound good

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
i suggest SuperJive or, as practicised by woodface ,SuperSpinJive
..catchy...
..or of course RedHotandBlueJive
"West Coast Slightly Less Swing Than You Might Have Expected" is really catchy.
If you mention the word Jive, the modern bit gets thrown out and the oldies start saying "I could jive when I was your age" or "I already know how to jive! what do I want to go to classes for!?"
A as far away from Jive as possible cause tbh, it's not jive at all is it?
Freestyle Partner Dancing. Because basically, that's what it is!!

Do other dances or (non-MJ) dance organisations use the word "freestyle" to describe their social dance events?
