Well, SF wouldn't want to make a mess on the seats in his new(ish) motor would he?

I feel ambivalent about the Utopia 'thing'.
    Its the music..
I take it that the thread that runs through the music is the tempo (slower than normal ceroc); however, at least at a recent Cricklewood event, I experienced two main sorts of music that, though sharing similar tempi, were otherwise poles apart: latin and blues/swing. I love the latter whilst the former does nothing for me whatsoever.
So I ended up sitting a lot of it out and vowing never again.
Actually. one of my reservations about taking up WCS is that DJs are going to find lots of music at the right TEMPO for WCS but with the wrong MUSICAL ingredients. Imagine spending all that time and money to learn a new dance and they STILL dont play the music you like..!

But last Saturday and Sunday 't' dance was just

I loved it, but then there will be a people hating it, who'd be a DJ (not me)

It's always great to get feedback and we do understand that Utopia, as we have always said, will not suit everyone. We probably played a broader range of 'usual' music at Ashtons and it was slightly more up-tempo as there were about 100 dancers there who weren't part of the regular crowd. In general though we do probably play less latin based tracks than any other genre. Most of what we play at a Twickers event is old style R&B mixed with soul, modern R&B and Funk. Hopefully you will give it another go and come to a Twickenham event so you can experience the difference.

Hi Rocky I did notice this a twickers and was a little surprised as the class was tango.

I'd promised a couple of latin dancers with Ms fab and Ian but didn't have an opportunity as the tracks were so few and far between. If the class is billed as tango it will draw a different crowd or set expectations - especially as people want to practice the moves they have learned

Having said that it didn't put me off dancing, the music was challenging, funky and fun
