You two are truly inspirational in creating the atmosphere and effect of Southport by bringing better and better teachers to teach and DJs to play more challenging music

I also personally respect all the work you are doing to promote WCS in the UK - even if the majority of the forum doesn't
Keep up the good work guys

Dizzy has said it all - thanks guys

BTW I don't think this is true

Of course it's a business - but most of us can tell the difference between weekenders run solely for profit, and weekenders run for profit and love.

    To John and Wes

without wishing to be too luvvy... I consider you as great friends and superb event organisers...... the attention to detail and the consideration of all the punters is second to none.

Thanks for Southport No 8. it was different again but brill as all the others were.

There isn't a better place to be, hence so many want to be there.

See you in September which isn't too many sleeps away now.

Name a weekender run solely for profit ??

Assume you must know how much profit each weekender makes ?

With respect to John and Wes the fact there still give £20 off the next booking when probably they don’t ‘need to’, suggest a strong love affair with their punters

I’m not sure the Francos or Ceroc of the world are run just for profit but would be interesting to see what weekenders your referring to

Maybe 70s theme weekenders etc ?

Re: Southport: thank you John and Wes

Just managed to log in and look at the forum, yes i do have a life outside dancing till breakfast and beyond,

I never cease to have a good time at Southport the atmosphere that is created and the welcome is in my opinion exceptional to any other dance event i have been to.

It never ceases to amaze me how you always seem to get the good weather, even when the forecast is bad.

Either Wes or John are always around sorting out and adjusting things so that everybody gets such a good time; that coupled with the level of Dancers that attend and the level of teaching provided, means a good all round weekender for everyone.

Personally i spend my time in the blues room, but then that is my preference and what a lovely time i had excellent Music, fun time fab dances, and wonderful weather, what more could i ask for.

I for one am defiantly back in September, and will be booking for next year as well given the chance.

Thank you Wes and John and to all of the other unseen people who help to make this such a special weekend for everyone.

I was gutted that we had J&T headlining the event yet nowhere to WCS consistently (we cant dance to everything in the blues room) So thank you so much for opening the dance den for the impromtu set with jordan.

Music was awesome and it was great to dance without banging into people in the blues room.

Weve had bad press about the room being intimidating or unfriendly, but i totally disagree. The room wasnt very social because we could actually WCS to every song!!....So we did!!

Now that Robert and Deborah/Benji and Heidi are headlining and WCS becoming absolutley bloody MASSIVE may i suggest we have WCS in the latin room instead of the dance den?

This could help diminish the 'hotshot' reputation we have, afterall we are trying to promote the dance. What didnt help was people got the impression that the dance den became exclusive because it was seperate from everywhere else, which wasnt the case.

    Best Southport Suggestion yet.

I can't WCS but prefer the music. Nothing says you have to WCS in the WCS room does it?

The latin stuff could go in the Dance Den. Tango's had it's day.
