Ah! Thats a really interesting point. As I said in my post I couldnt really comment on the other rooms so thats good to know

    Maybe it was just circumstance.

Re: Southport June 07 - How Was It For You?

    What a great Southport!!!!!!

The afternoon sessions in the Blues Room were the best ever and a special thanks to Lizard Lounge and CJ for such great sets.

As always I tried to spend the evenings in the Latin Room and as always one set was great and the next not so good. I don't know why.

When that happened I then went into the main room. Talking about the main room pride of place must go to Lounge Lizard and the last set played on Sunday night. I have never attended a freestyle or weekender that had such a high concentration of high energy music, awesome .

Every dance I had was great so thanks to every body I danced with and special thanks to the only forumites I know

SNOW WHITE (aka Sara Whites Jive Nites) for asking me to dance to Shaking That Arse and giving me a birds eye view - WHAT AN ARSE.

RUBY RED for all those fabulous dances and especially when you were shaking that lovely body to Sandstorm . and

FLETCH all I can say is that you should chop off the GOF, you don't have to give anything away, you were great.

A final thanks must go to Wes and John fopr making such a great weekend and especially putting the Westies in the Dance Den.

    MY only negetives were

Allowing people to dance without a shirt on, personally I think it is naf and

allowing the Westies out of the Dance Den after dark.

PS - SW and CJ you have had so many good comments I must come up and check you out sometime

Your arse was just perfect. I can go into detail but as this is a public forum it is your call.

That was one of the highlights for me

For those that didn't know - the pool party was located through a trap door by the stage in the dance den.

DJ Kenobe was also very good in the Blues room on Sunday. What a fab chap, to boot! Must remind him to play more of that R'nB raunch at Twyford..

Well a southport Virgin i am no longer !!!!!!!

I had a fantastic time along with Paul who kept me thoroughtly entertained all weekend!!!!! Cant remember the last time i laughed so much

I met loads of new people ....too many to remember tbh! I must just say a big up to Trouble and DTS for those costumes on Sat tho...the nail varnish will look good at work Dave i'm sure!

Unfortunately due to the fact i'd only been off crutches for just over a week i didnt get to dance with all the people i wanted to......but i did get to share my usual Sunday night 2 hour Blues extravaganza with Seahorse Babe -----You Rock!! And had a couple of fab ones with Spice and Easy too...perhaps i'll get some more on Friday please

A special thanks to Witty and Claire S for enabling us to be there ....ladies

I am now trying desparately to work out how i can manage to get back in Sept as well as doing bliss breeze and britrock i'm sure i'll work it out tho

thanks also to Jackson for all my free hugs...really needed them!

And in all an amazing weekend spent with fab people and excelllent music !

Re: Southport June 07 - How Was It For You?

    Best ever for me.
Danced loads and loads and everyone was nice.
There is always a "find" - mine was a delightful, elegant, talented, inventive French lady whose name I have 'oublied'..(no change there..)
Thanks everyone for some great dances.
Jordan and Tattiana were an example to all teachers - technically great (aided by some telling and humorous analagies), enthusiastic, unafraid of detail and brilliant dancers - and what risks they take!! Blimey..what about that shoe/head thing in the new routine.
Great Fancy dress Under par and Mrs Par.
    Ta for barbie Linda.
    Just Brill.
Oh yes Kenobe and J. Brett (keep those soul classics coming JB, please).

well given that I think there were only 3, it could be either Isabelle (gorgeous little brunette), Dora (gorgeous tall brunette), or me (not a brunette ).

I'd love for that description to fit me but I suspect it's one of the other 2 you're talking about !

Tut! How could you forget 2 other gorgeous ladies, Sandra & Carol.
Is Dora the lady that won the WCS comp at WSM? I finally got a couple of lovely dances with her.

There was also Sandre - gorgeous , tall, impossibly small waisted (and known for wearing corsets) - brunette

Caro - I think we have conclusively proven that all french girls are brunettes and that you must be an imposter !

(well that'll teach me to read to the end of the thread before I post !!)
