Looks like a woodface thread, I will step up to the plate... Firstly in your next post, Down under not so many dancers, BUT why do they take out so many comp firsts the world over... For Trampy to do well is Aus... means he is GOOD at what he does... Try it down under and see if you are up to it (many have failed). He also had an Aussie girl to dance with (try them out)

As to comp winners... I won the 2004 UK triples with the lovely LilyB from the UK and Janet from Aussie.

I will be happy to go head to head with you.

Thing is, IMHO the standard for comps is far higher in Aussie...

Not wanting to be disrespectful, but IMHO the general standard of triples/teams/showcases in the UK would rank as intermediate in Aussie.
