    Southport june07 - LM's book cafe

Oooooooh, it's almost time for SOUTHPORT again! Woooooooooooooooo!!!

I will as usual have Little Monkey's Cafe open for all my friends (and my friends' friends etc). The prices will be as usual - a cup of tea or coffee, one hug. A piece of cake, two hugs.

If there is interest, we could also have a book swap shop, as suggested by DJ on the other Southport thread. Anyone up for this? Books, a cuppa and a slab of cake?

    See you all there!! Woooooo!

I hope my chalet will be close to the Blues Room again, so it won't be to difficult for you all to find LM'sC...

Is this the start of a Fringe to the main Southport Festival?

Hope to call by to say hello, and grab a piece of cake.

Does this mean I don't need to bake for Southport this time?

I think it's a great idea, if I can manage to fit any books in my already-overflowing suitcase! I'll be there, don't worry, and will be offering massages in return for cake or hugs!

Oh no, you definitely do - you just don't have to share it outside our chalet

This sounds like a whole weekender all by itself...what bliss.
Good company, place to relax, coffee and cake, lots of hugs and books to read!

Possibly to be scheduled AFTER a Southport weekender?? To help re-charge the batteries??

Er...... No? I might not have enough space in the car for cakes for everyone! And besides, how can you even think of depriving your chalet mates of your excellent cakes, you Evil Sparkly One!

After??? And who'll organise the accomodation and pay for it all, pray tell? Nah, people need breaks from dancing and some extra energy input during the weekend, too. At least my cakes have always been in demand before..... But I can always see what will happen if I don't bake for Southport??

A variety. There you go, that's as much as I will tell! But you can always bake a cake for your own chalet mates as well, I ain't gonna stop you!

Well thank you. I think? Or maybe you don't really care about meeting me, you just want cake?? Uh-oh...... Maybe all my friends just want to be my friends because of my cakes.... Oh no!

    Re: Southport june07 - LM's book cafe

So, just out of curiosity, what's people's favourite cakes, then?

I'm rather partial to baked cheesecake, carrot cake or a really chocolaty death-by-chocolate cake. Chocolate and banana cake is ok, too, and has been rather a hit with lots of forumites in the past.

Or lemon/orange cake? Raspberry and white choc muffins?

Ps - I don't like fruitcake, so I refuse to bake it!
PPS - And I won't make any promises for cakes, either.....
PPSS - Although bribes might work.......
    PPPSS - But not always......
PPPSSS - Victoria sponge is boring....
