Question Red Bull - Love it or don't touch it

I have gotten into drinking a lot of sugar free red bull over the last few months. It gets me through weekenders but not sure of the longer term effects. I am just interested in seeing what people think about red bull and maybe getting a poll?

Apologies if this has been done before.

    What do you think?

Me and caffine is like lighting a rocket. Doesn't take much caffine to keep me going through the night into the morning.. Had a pint of redbull once at ceroc. (bad idea) I was sleeply so wanted a little boost in energy. Anywho

The next day i worked having had no sleep. I dont like the taste of the stuff. So i tend to throw it back missing the taste buds. I tried irnbru32 but prefer Sprite 3g. Does the sugar free redbull taste any better?

So you could say i have a love / hate thing going with redbull... love what it does hate the taste.

Caffeine does me no good at all so I avoid Red Bull like the plague. Even if I wasn't so sensitive I would probably avoid it anyway from what I've heard about it. They do sponsor some pretty cool sports though

Re: Red Bull - Love it or don't touch it

I've only had redbull twice and both times I felt terrible.. the first time I drank 2 one after the other, completely niave to the fact that they really do have a physical effect on you...

I suddenly started to feel very jittery and shakey and had a terrible feeling of anxiety.. as though i was waiting to sit an exam or something.. but I didn't add 2+2 together, all I knew was, I didn't feel good!

The second time I had one, the same feelings happened almost immediately and then the penny dropped!

Never again for me I'm afraid! I'll stick to JD and Coke thanks

Tastes the same unfortunately. Just leaves the colories for chocolate. Chocolate also has the added bonus of taking the taste away

I haven't touched the stuff and don't plan to - am rather senstive to caffiene, and don't generally drink even tea after lunchtime, and not at all after 6pm or I won't sleep.

I drink more tea than is probably good for me - but my blood pressure is excellent and I drink loads of water to compensate. Do you kepp an eye on the blood pressure and dilute the caffiene a bit Fletch? Coffee is dehydrating, so that's particular important.

I remember you emerging from behind a pile of Irnbru cans at the Beach Ballroom - goodness knows what you'd have been like on something you liked even more!

Ice cold Red Bull... ohh yessss baby! If you go to Aldi they do a six pack of diet Red Thunder for £1:49. Tesco do an own brand version of Red Bull too. They also have a cranberry flavour one!

I can get through the stuff like it's water Talking of which it is a diuretic.. so you may miss some dances on account of being in the loo

Re: Red Bull - Love it or don't touch it

I am definitely not a caffeine junky – hate coffee and rarely take tea – but I have been known to drink Irn Bru 32 on occasion to wake me up and give me a bit of energy.

Like all varieties of Irn Bru, it is best served ice cold.

I'd be frightened to touch the stuff... folk have to scrape me off the ceiling after a can of coke so I've no idea what Red Bull would do!

Re: Red Bull - Love it or don't touch it

Perhaps the reason you drink so much is due to the fact that caffeine is a drug and as such has addictive qualities? It tastes horrible too

I'm one of these wimpy caffeine sensitive people sadly...I do enjoy the odd coffee.

Mostly I drink iced tea. Yum.

Re: Red Bull - Love it or don't touch it

I used to drink Red Bull, but it tends to make me feel bloated. I don't partake of caffeine in any form normally i.e tea or coffee. So when I do drink a RB i'm hyper!

Thanks. Can we set up a public poll. How do these options sound?

I felt rather sick after my 7ith can of irn bru i think back then. Irn Bru 32 is like irnbru with tonic. Almost as appealing as Tequila and Irn bru.

The weekend was I stuck to Sprite 3G its nice and refreshing. Don't think it has the same kick as redbull but its good enough still had proplus just incase.
