    A request from New York

A female friend of mine has moved to New York and cannot find any Ceroc.

She would like to hook up with a decent Ceroc dancer in New York as she is dance deprived.

She is a very advanced Australian Cerocer who has won multiple champs etc and taught Ceroc for a number of years. Dont get put off, she does not bite
She even came over to UK with me in 2000 and demoed at a weekender and did a caberet with me.

Any UK cerocers currently in New York?

She has been there since December so she is past the cold turkey and into the frozen chicken stage.

Anyone able to break the Ceroc freeze?

There was one that finished 8 weeks before she got there in Dec.... It seems this is another one, so something to check out.

That'll be Lily - she's on the forum as Tellina. Lovely lady - she was very welcoming when I visited a few years back.

A dancer with that much experience should be able to pick up some other dance form that's popular in New York without much effort. There's no excuse for being dance deprived.

Yup good observation, she does many dance styles, including representing Australia in dance aerobics... that does not mean you do not crave a good "Ceroc"

There is a small swing club in New York Called Swing 46 which has some great dancers and bands on nightly which I can recommend.I also met a a great swing dancer called Evita Arce out there who I think teaches also and may7 be agood contact. If your friend wants her mail address PM me and I will forward it to you. I believe she teaches various types of dance and is a US Champion in Lindy Hop (can also see her on U Tube).

Yuval Hod teaches in NYC -- could be worth a try? He's taught at some MJ events in the UK, so he'll have more idea than a regular US dance teacher.
