    Freestyles as fundraisers

Simple Question, really, would you go to a freestyle, if it was to raise money for a cause you weren't really all that fussed about?

It depends - on the location of the freestyle and the cause. If it was a freestyle I would go to anyway, then it wouldn't bother me what the cause was so long as I didn't find it offensive. I'd probably only travel if it was something I believed in strongly (not sure what that would be right now though) or if someone I knew well was organising it.

I wouldn't expect the fact that it was a fundraiser to be to the detriment of the night - I'd have thought that people's enthusiasm could make it better than average.

So none of the above options apply - sorry!

I would attend a freestyle for a casue I wasn't bothered about as long as it wasn't a cause that I found offensive or didn't agree with.

Can't really think of a cause that I'm not that bothered by though to be honest. Is there a particular casue you are thinking about?

The main factor when deciding what to attend is firstly, what kind of night is it going to be,ie venue and DJ's. Then secondly who else is going.

I go to a freestyle because I want to dance and I'm free at the time.
If it raises money for a good cause, that's nice, but irrelevant.

I would not attend a political or religious fundraiser... although it may depend on the DJ

    Re: Freestyles as fundraisers

I've had mixed reasons for why people are attending my Tour De Dance in June. Some are coming because they are friends and want to support me. Some are coming because they have an empathy with Macmillans i.e have been touched by cancer in some way. It would seem though that alot are coming because they had a good time at the one I did last year and are wanting to repeat that experience. No pressure then!
People want a good night primarily, if they are that bothered about a charity they will just donate regardless. You need to offer something extra to actually get them to attend.
