    My Prince has Arrived....!

    Prince is in London.......!

I am his Number 1 fan. I've seen him in concert 10 times and I think he is a God.

If anyone fancies seeing him in concert, I would say get a ticket as soon as you can. He's doing lots of gigs in London over the next few months and he is a bloody musical genius (not to mention the sexiest man on the planet)

I think he is doing 21 gigs & I will be trying to go to as many of them as I can (I know...I'm sad, but I love him)

    Back to Prince...............

.........a few weeks ago at St. Albans, they played 'Cream' (great song btw) and the woman I was dancing with asked me what the track was. I explained - and I said "you really don't want to know the lyrics.......". Then I told her that he also had a track called 'Peach(es)' - and she throught I was taking the ****....Peach(es) and Cream.

(Btw I have asked for Peach to be played as I think it would be fine - but nobody has yet. I just want to be dancing with right kind of woman where it gets to that part of the song and he sings ".......she was pure, every ounce, ...............bounce").

I'm waiting for someone to play 'Sexy Mother Fukker' at a ceroc venue. Now that would be a challenge to dance to...forget the lyrics....!

It's on my Ceroc playlist, and may get an outing if I get a Sack the DJ slot this weekend at Blaze.

Think I've heard if played by one of our local DJs though...

Quite like a lot of Prince's stuff from way back – has he done anything of any note in the last decade though?

The last 2 albums he has produced this year and last year are among the best work he has ever done, in my opinion. I think he peaked around the 'Sign of the Times/Lovesexy' era in the late eighties, then went a bit weird....musically and personally. His new stuff is excellent. Funky and soulful...would go down really well in the blues room at Southport, if any DJ's fancy trying something new.

I take it you haven't danced to the song Jon Brett plays about an incredibly large penis then?

(Had to re-word that a bit! Could've been misconstrued )

I only have the purple rain album, I can't say I'm a huge fan of Prince, but some of his stuff was ok.

When he changed his name to that Squiggle.. I knew he'd lost the plot.

He did that as a protest to get out of a record contract he wasnt happy about.

He might be a little 'different' but you cant get away from his musical ability. He writes & produces all of his records and plays all the instruments and sings like an angel. He can do no wrong in my book.

The last Prince track I have is Te Amo Corazon, which I really like, but that was way back in Dec 2005.

Love dancing to Cream and Musicology
