How have you changed since you were a fledgeling ?

After posting the Thread Resurrection image on another thread I was thinking about my early days on the forum.

Out of interest I dredged up my very first post on this forum..
2nd-July-2003, 10:05 PM have I really been here that long??

I'm only going to make sure he keeps his hands off my partner! <g>
Ok So I've not been dancing all the time since 2003 (very VERY part time actually) but I've certainly come a long way since then. I'm a much more confident dancer (yeah.. I may not be confident.. but I'm MORE confident that I was, so you can imagine how bad I USED to be ) I still occasionally perform "The cuban necktie", " The Washing line" and/or "The funky elephant" but luckily I've confined "The Push-spin punch in the nose" move to the bin.. My poor nose couldn't handle the pummelling

In the following years, I've met some interesting people, some not so interesting people, and seen friends/forumites come and go (some to the forums detriment, others to it's benefit)

Although mind you, after nearly 4 years.. you would think I'd be out of the beginners class by now

Overall I've learnt a lot from the forum .. will even suggest I've learnt more about dancing in general (other than just moves) from the forum than I've ever done in class.

And to Franck and Sheena who've had to put up with us lot for all that time

Post a link to your first post and tell us how you've changed since you joined the forum (for the better or worse)

I 'm ashamed to say that I have no idea how to post a link to my first post and have no desire to learn (Old Dog - New Tricks)

How have I changed? Well I'm a lot older and I'm now officially an Old Git

    Well I acquired a boyfriend...

And I've met lots of lovely people. Not a lot else has changed to be honest, although I hope that my dancing has improved - but then I've not quite completed my first year on here.

Yes, I could but I can't be @rsed finding it! I think it may have been asking advice about dancing venues for a business trip in Nottingham.

Have I changed since I was a fledgeling?

Probably not - Movement gives the illusion of progress, so does the passage of time.

Ahh, my first post, back before Debbie's relaunch of Ceroc Worcester started, just putting my toe in the Ceroc waters..

So I posted asking for some advice on footwork.
Gadget gave some good advice and links.
Andy diverted the thread onto a discussion of smoking.

    Nothing's changed, eh?

Think this is mine posted after Franck changed to this forum from the old one. Not much has changed at all, still reading the previews and dancing in Dundee with new men (and posting after midnight )

Well, the above was my 3rd or 4th post on the forum. Don't think I've changed much since then. I'm still bonkers...... However....

And so have I, all thanks to the forum!

Me too. And my dancing might even have improved a bit since 2004 (although I'd already done Ceroc for 3 1/2 years by the time I joined the forum). At least I've taken up WCS since then, and even done my first WCS comp!!
