Smile Revolution Dance Congleton Opening Night (May 1st)

Revolution Dance are opening a brand new venue in Congleton Town Hall tonight. Twirlie Bird and I are going along to support it and check it out. They are having WCS lessons, MJ class and a cabaret. We would love to be able to say hi to any forumees that go along to support this new weekly venture - so if you see us please say hello (even better grab us for a dance or three ).

Disclaimer: We are in no way connected to Revolution Dance financially or otherwise.

Ohhhh what a night! What an amazing venue. High arched ceiling, big stone entrance with big wooden double arched doors. Beautiful. So what was Revolution Dance's new weekly class night like?

I could tell you that the bar prices were really cheap, that the music was brilliant, I could rave on and on about the creative intermediate routine that Keith taught, I could tell you that the dancers were fun, I could say that the floor was super fast (just how I like it), I could say how friendly the people were or what a fabulous cabaret they laid on. Salsiology Dance Company I think they were called. Ohhh then there was the WCS lesson Twirly Bird and I had with Chris, Revolution Dance's excellent WCS teacher from Knutsford. I could rave on about the fact that you can dance WCS straight after the intermediate class for thirty minutes or so in the second room to practice what you have learnt away from all the boing-boing music - what an EXCELLENT idea.

But, it all pales into the background in comparison with the dances I had with Ruby Red

Drat! Missed it. Will have to make sure I'm free next week.

Out of interest, what was the ratio of men : women. Enough men to go round?

There were five ladies over for the intermediate class, so not too bad at all. See you next Tuesday

Keith and Jayney - one of the nicest couples I know on the dance circuit, they deserve every success.

    Thanks guys,
    What a busy few days!!!
Thank you for making the effort and supporting us once again, you really are top people.
Both Janey & I have had around 12 years of dancing & love what it has given to us over those years.
When we launched Knutsford it was to give some of this back & from the responses we get at Knutsford & now Congleton, there seems to be lots of other dancers having the same kind of fun & striking up relationships with lots of other great people, when you find dance it seems that life becomes one long party.
So once again, thank you & we hope to see you soon.
    Keith & Janey

Re: Revolution Dance Congleton Opening Night (May 1st)

WOW! Some good dances, not as many as would like but need to get used to having a wide variety of people to dance with instead if just one or two people that I can dance with, while my eyes are closed.
I actualy had to concentrate on what I was doing, I havn't had to concentrate on anything dance related for a while.
My only bad comment about the whole night....

    I'm tired!
Hope to see all again next week!

Off for my hour and half sleep now!
