Ive got Norton anti virus software and its due for renewal and they want £40

Someone said you could down load for free of the net another one ?

I also have AOL (subscribe to use their broadband) but never used or run their anti virus software

Any suggestions ? I assume if get something free it wont be as good ??

Don’t think ive had any virus in the last year which cant be bad ?

    2 of the best are

    avast

    and AVG

Norton Anti Virus is terrible. Bad enough that they should pay YOU for installing it. Avoid.

Theres nothing wrong with free, and in the case of virus killers - they either protect against viruses or they don't. The free ones DO. Why would you want to waste money? Nuff said

I do like McAfee It's not the cheapest out there (actually one of the more expensive) but it's very very good.

    As for free ones

    Wot he sed.

Of the free ones, these two are good.

Though be careful. Don't just download ANY free AV software from the web. There's a lot of dubious software out there, Some spyware or Adware ridden, and some just badly written. it all depends on how much you value your data.

Which is why I chose a not-so-cheep commercial product.
