    Forum Comp

A recent thread where someon stated that some forumites are better dancers than others, dispite not meeting any of the party's involved got me thinking.......

At these weekenders it's the norm for us forumites (or the clique as we are known of the forum) to meet up, dance together etc etc....

Whats the consensus on holding bit of a forum comp at these things? Nothin serious, just a chance to actually see some of the other forumites dance and to see what they are about.

Don't know how it would work but im sure it would if we wanted it to.

Could give it a dry run at Camber this weekend?

    What do you all think?

Some of the people you have been questioning the talents of are often found amongst the judges of the major MJ competitions in the UK.

But would you respect them enough to accept them as a judge?

I haven't questioned anyones talents. that's the whole point. to be able to see these people dance.

thinking about it, some forumites are not interested in warching others dancing. they have their heads so far up their own rear ends, the thought of someone else stealing their delusional limelight for 5 Mins, would just do more harm than good

You know - while (I'm told) it's good to be in touch with your inner child, I'd be grateful if you'd refrain from putting your inner teenager in touch with the forum.

i do find it annoying that i cant rep the same people until i rep some other unworthy people first - it doesnt seem fair

You haven't directly criticised talent, but you have questioned...

Why should that surprise you? Some people are not interested in watching anyone dance.

What a negative attitude, when the solution to repping the unworthy is so simple...

    (that's tears of laughter!)

I love watching other people dance - and I don't need a competition scenario to do it. Surely this would have to be about one-upmanship?

I love watching other people dance - learn by watching as well as doing....a happy mix of the two would suffice!
