I wonder what your quoting me on that and saying something about the Daily Mail and some Korean film are supposed to be about. I don’t know what Korean film you are talking about. I don’t know what the Daily Mail is, either (I fancy it’s a newspaper, isn’t it?). If it’s a newspaper, then I would appreciate your providing me with the article you were referring to. And I, in my turn, am likely to provide you with more certain comment.

OMG I just realised that I once watched a film where someone shot someone else with a gun - does that mean I'm going to become a psycho as well?
Perhaps, it does. Can’t you, at least, admit that that experience could bounce back on your psyche?

I’ve watched that interview on the Russian TV. Imo, his words had the following sense: ‘Of course, it is very sad. But the right to have a gun is an inalienable right of every American.’ I didn’t noticed that he was concerned about the incident. Hope it’s just my prejudices and I’m wrong.

DS, how about the gun laws in the UK. Is it difficult to buy a gun?

    Thanks in advance.

After the massacre at Dunblane Primary School where Thomas Hamilton killed 16 children and their teacher with hand guns, the already tight laws on handgun ownership were tightened a great deal. So much so that now ONLY muzzle-loading and historic handguns are legal in the UK.

Where I worked at the time there several parents of kids at Dunblane school. And of course Andy Murray - Britains number 1 tennis player was an 8 year old pupil of the school at the time, and, understandably, refuses to discuss the incident in any interviews.

In the same way as if I read a book, watched a TV programme or watched something happen in front of me. It's easy to blame things like films and computer games for this kind of behaviour rather than looking at the real issues - why was he allowed to get into this state without any action being taken by the authorities? I'll wager that he'd have killed these people even if he hadn't watched any of those films.

    Thank you for the article.

    I didn’t.

Despite my having no degree in psychology, I can assert that watching a horror or porno film, seeing someone else’s death or rape etc., when being a child, can influence upon a child’s psyche. Perhaps, I’m wrong.

    I agree with it.

Ah yes I do agree with that - I believe that childhood experiences can have a massive influence on behaviour in later life, particularly in a case like this.

Latest news just in. A major news source, "FoxNews", in America now knows why the Virginia Shootings happened. It's clear that Cho Seung-Hui was possessed by Satan! ...

...Seriously ! you could not make this stuff up

and it gets better....the fascinating Christian group mentioned by Barry in another thread (them wot Louis Theroux interviewed ) are going to protest at the ceremony for the murdered VT students. see here

    some choice quotes :

Cho Seung-Hui, the Virginia Tech student responsible for the killings who took his own life after the shootings, was sent by God to punish those he killed, and America as a whole, for moral decline, said Phelps-Roper, while adding that she believes Cho is also in hell for violating God’s commandment to not kill.
So he was sent by god to punish, but will be punished by god for killing. We can only assume then that the punishment god intended was a slap on the wrist or similar as he is now miffed by the killings. God should be clearer in his instructions.

You know what, I was thinking just yesterday if those nutters would have the bad taste to picket the funerals and clearly they do. According to their word the killings would have been a punishment from god for not fighting the faggot-loving US government. Un-f**king-believable. And yet they get what they want - attention. That's what it's all about with them, just like a screaming child

I saw the Louis Theroux programme with those nut cases in it.

They wont be at the funerals of the murder victims as the police make sure there is an exclusion zone. Still very upsetting for the victims families, but I believe they wont be able to disrupt the funerals.

Personally, I am amazed that no one from that whacky Christian group have been murdered themselves. I'd wring their necks if I was one of the relatives of the dead and they turned up.
