I for one very much enjoy it. Although maybe I should be wearing one of those stickers

Oh I like that idea! Stickers saying, 'yes you can ask me, Rachel, I don't mind dancing with you'. Perhaps even '.... as long as it's only the one dance though, and only if you don't drip sweat all over me.'
Then there'd be no confusion, would there?

I have to say, I probably would have felt very nervous asking you to dance but, given your reply here, I'll look out for you and give you my 'Um, would you ... um ... are you having a break? or, um might you like .... ah, um, perhaps you're going to dance with someone else, or, um ...' (Oh God, I know, I'm pathetic!!!)

Yeah, good thinking - let's just cut out the men altogether!

    Rachel
I have met a whole load of people from Northampton and they all seemed great. I even had a dance with a guy called Brian Tompkins who was a great dancer and didn't even turn me down

Of course I would love to dance with you I never wait for them to actually ask. Once I see them coming towards me with that look in their eyes I usually say something inane and get on with the dancing.

Cutting out men altogether. I knew it was just a matter of time. I've planned for this eventuality and learnt the womans part already

Maybe they could wear a number of stickers equivalent to the number of tracks they were prepared to put up with?

Yes - but they may need to remove or add stickers during the dance itself, depending on how it was going ...

Hey, not from me, I love dancing with Rachel... and you're right Graham, she is far too modest
A very gorgeous drowned rat indeed

Yes, they're lovely, and the Milton Keynes crowd, too.

Once I see them coming towards me with that look in their eyes I usually say something inane and get on with the dancing.
I'll have to start practising 'that look', then ...

I suggest T-shirts with the slogan

    RACHEL
    ME, ME, ME !!!

    Re. Me! Me! Me!

The most entertaining thread for ages - perhaps 'cos it's about the far too modest Rachel!

Rachel if that's prowling, you do it in the most endearing way!
And I must say, that I'm always disappointed when I see you at a dance . . . and we don't get a dance all night

Good point, though I would say it is even more tricky if there are just 2 ladies chatting together, so by asking one you are
    a) cutting short their conversation
    b) "rejecting" the other one

There you go again Andy, being very sensible, and beating me to it again. On an average night I probably only ask 2 or 3 times, and only get asked the same number of times. Mostly it is "that look" across the dancefloor (admittedly this doesn't work with strangers too well, they just think "what is this idiot making faces for"!) Ironically, the person I ask most is Mary - my competition partner, 'cos I'm thinking, "no, she won't want to put up with another load of my mistakes!"
Andy - I'll ask you for a dance next time, as long as I get a look in from your dances with Rachel.

This season I will mostly be dancing with Rachel

    That is once I've worked out which Rachel she is. I'll have 3 clues from this thread;

    1 She's very attractive
2 She looks like a drowned rat
3 All her partners will be wearing stickers or a tee shirt saying Rachel, Me, Me, Me.

To make identification easier Pammy and I've put a picture on our Avatar. Of course, we might not be the person in the picture. And to make it more difficult I've put a picture of 2 people on my Avatar - maybe neither of them are me though

It is an old picture. You must have had this taken when you were just a lamb. If I used a picuture of me from 30 years ago it would not look like me either

I have been dancing with a woman that looks just like xSalsa_Angelx's Avatar - I thought it was her.

No wonder she was confused when I mentioned this forum

Isn't nice when two women are chatting away and you ask one of them to dance.

The one left just drifts away

Is there any other way in the world where you can stop to women chatting like that ?

Sorry, arrived late to this thread...

I would like to add that IMNSHO Rachel is indeed gorgeous (so gorgeous in fact that some men are probably intimidated by her gorgeosity - the fools!).

Also, she's a brilliant dancer and can feel my t-shirt any time she likes.

Of course you do mean the extensor carpi and brachioradialis muscles.

When you danced with 'her' it was me in drag

Next time could you wait until you receive the 'Grope me' signal...
