Mac Help - Please Stop My Macbook Talking!!

Another one for the Apple gurus out there

Every time I start up my Macbook I get a Stephen Hawking type voice telling me it's my Macbook and it's the logon screen. I don't have the voice over utility or any other universal access settings switched on but I have obviously switched something on, any ideas on how to stop it?

    Cheers,
    Paul

Uh-oh. I think it's starting to gain self-awareness. Whatever you do, disconnect it from any nearby heavy machinery, airlock doors, and the internet. In case it goes INSANE and destroys the world

It's in "System Preferences" –> "Accounts" –> "Login Options"

You may need to authenticate to be able to see the login options page.

It seemed ok and didn't say "Just what do you think your doing Paul?", either that or it's keeping it's plans to itself and will get me later

Go to your nearest Mac building. Go up to the 9th floor. Throw it out of the window.

    It's the only sure way!!

I was going to suggest a bucket of water, but I like Tramps solution

Open it up.. and pull out it's memory chips slowly and one at a time until it starts singing "Daisy Daisy" perhaps??

Whatever you do don't wire it up to your batchelor pad doors.

"Open the Pad doors..." ... "I'm sorry Paul, I can't do that"
"Why not?" .. "Because I'm just a Macbook and I haven't got any hands!"

Maybe it's developing some kind of inferiority complex?
