Renee & Renato - Save your love (throwing up smilie)
Some (serious!) further thoughts for a play list: -
China Crisis - African & White
Kraftwerk - The Model (I remebered this last nigt when someone mentioned floorcraft, and I asked weren't they a 80's synth band?)
Housemartins - Happy Hour
Steve 'Silk' Hurley - Jack Your Body
Jack N Chill - The Jack That House Built
Timelords - Doctorin' The House
And... some to avoid (at all costs!): -
Spitting Image - The Chicken Song
Joe Dolce - Shaddup You Face
St. Winifreds School Choir - There's No One Quite Like Grandma
Tight Fit - The Lion Sleeps Tonight
Goombay Dance Band - Seven Tears
Flying Pickets - Only You
Sonia - You'll Never Stop Me From Loving You
Musical Youth - Pass The Cuchie
Falco - Rock Me Amadeus
Who said it was all good in the 80's???
Fabulous lists but can anyone now offer advice on how to stage some of these.
Remember we are talking about primary school children 5 - 11 year olds.
Lotsa love lorna x-x
Michael Jackson's Thriller would be easy enough to stage.
How many do you need to do?
Yeah,
thriller was in there and should manage that no probs as with Madonna's Holiday which being near the end of term the whole school will perform to close the concert.
The whole thing may last just under 2 hours, need to discuss with HT.
I'm thinking, a song for each class, a couple of big numbers for the whole school, and some specially chosen ones for those pupils with bigger egos than the rest!
So, all in all, about 15 songs.
To be honest, I am fairly good at this sort of thing, but am always looking for fresh ideas. So please post, post post...
