    More Mac Help!

    I want to play videos on my ibook when i download them from the net. Can anyone recommend a free program i can download and use?

    You should have quicktime on your mac, but if not download it for free at www.apple.com

    Otherwise download windows media player for the mac. It's pretty universal.

    Another one, which I vastly prefer to Media Player is vlc from Videolan

    Excellent player, which I use both on Mac and PC.

    vlc works quite well, but I find it too buggy and quirky for my tastes.

    There are plugs-ins for Quicktime which make it compatible with most of the odder end of the internet video spectrum. (Such as this one.)

    Me too. Though 720p WMV files seem a bit iffy in it so I've recently switched back to Windows Media Player for WMV files.
