Whoever is gonna give nurses and soldiers a PROPER pay rise, not take money away from us...
Is anyone professing to this..can't be bothered ploughing through all the B***lox in order to find out what they promise to do / achieve!
Labour
Conservative
Lib Dem
Nationalist (SNP / PLaid Cymru / etc.)
Green
Other
Dunno yet
No-one, it's a waste of time
I have to admit, at the moment, I've no idea who I'll vote for in the next UK General Election.
I know I won't vote Green, coz they're a bunch of wussy hippies without a proper leader, but apart from that, I'm a true floating voter.
- Up until Cameron, I'd have died before voting Tory, but now he's looking better than Labour.
- I used to be a Lib Dem, but Campbell's a bit of a wet blanket, plus it's a rule of mine never to vote for a Flash Gordon villain.
- As for Labour, they're so openly sleazy and incompetent now it's disgusting.
What do you think?

Looking at the list I was wondering who a socialist would vote for
In my experience people are more likely to vote for the party that opposes what they disagree with than to vote for a party they actually agree with
All the Conservatives (I am one and I don't care who knows) need to do, as far as I can see, is make sure that the majority of people know they disagree with Labour: whilst not actually saying very much about what they stand for so that there's nothing people will disagree with in their own policies.
And, is it me? Do all governments, from either side, collapse in a haze of sleaze after they've been in power for a long time?
Not telling, like religion thats my business
now I bet thats shocked you, i'm open about most things, but not these
Well Labour lost any possibility that I might vote for them the moment they invaded Iraq in my name.
Sadly, there does not seem to be a political party that offers me, as an individual, anything whatsoever. As far as I can tell they'll all make me worse off than I am now.
I don't think people should vote just for the sake of it, because chances are, they won't know anything about whoever they vote for and a vote of ignorance is worse than not voting at all.
I agree that we should all take a moment to read up on all the parties and what they stand for, but there should also be an opportunity for those that don't like what is on offer, to say exactly what it is that they would like to instead see on offer from one of the parties.
Actually I'd love it if one of those rosette-wearing-hand-shaking-can we depend on your vote political-activist types knocked on my door but they never do. I've got opinions galore, so they wouldn't be allowed to leave my flat until they fully understood what they were. ;o)
I was just listening to a program about a constituency worker who rather stupidly sent an insulting e-mail to the person she was insulting, by mistake.
The MP - a woman whose name appeared to be Gary, but I can't swear to that - was barking in entirely the wrong forest. First of all, she defended her employee by saying that the insulted constituent had been hostile on the phone to her staff, and to the e-mailer in particular, and had slagged off the Labour government.
MAYBE, YOU STUPID WOMAN, BUT THAT'S NO REASON FOR YOU TO REACT IN THE SAME WAY.
Next, the MP agreed that when the e-mailer had said 'she's not a supporter of the government, so don't hurry to sort her problem out', that that was entirely wrong (on the basis that all constituents are entitled to such assistance as is available on an equitable basis. But then she went on to say she was standing by her worker because the lady on the phone was unpleasant.
Oh, what's the point. I was going to put another bit in block capitals (= shouty shouty) but it's too depressing.
That somebody can be elected who is this outrageously DIM is a cause for profound dismay.
It reminded me of an interview I saw a while ago with a girl excluded from school for disobeying a teacher, and her mother. The girl explained that she had refused a direct order from the teacher to put her mobile phone away, and was excluded. The mother's words were, approximately:
"Ver teechurs av go'a learn to rispeck my dor'er, innit?"
which left me, dear reader, gobsmacked.
(This just in: labour mp teaches horses to push carts...)
I vote Francxzq....!
He's my hero.
Think we should vote Barry in. I never have a clue what politicians are on about. Barry would make a good one.
I think there's a natural lifespan of about 7-10 years, after which everyone gets heartily sick of the bozos in power.
There's a lot to be said for the American presidential 2-term limit in that respect - whatever else happens, we know that Bush will be out in 2 years' time.
Vote Woodface!
We've just had our elections last week for the Local Assembly - still waiting to see if we actually have an Assembly on the 26th March. Of course the elections themselves were in doubt for a while. The results have been even more polarised than ever - now we just need to get Sinn Fein and the DUP to agree to power sharing and things can get up and running. Simple.
And apparently we have 'Europe's first Chinese parlimentarian' - according to a local TV programme on at the moment. Is this the case?
