"I'm a ladies' cat: a feline Casanova, hey man, that's that...."
Rrwwwoawwrrr
...still borrowing my neighbours pc for a few mins to catch up...
I havent been single for over 25 years.... but I still choose to share our family life with a rather dominant and wicked siamese cat... Most of my friends are very wary of him.. understandably, as he behaves a lot of the time like his wild cousins... and isnt afraid to get his knashers out..
He is independant, very much his own boss and only likes affection on his own terms.. which actually sounds just like a bloke.. (or is that being too sexist.. )..... All this I very much admire, as I know he can take care of himself, isnt needy and behaves like what he is.... an animal... no surprises there then...
... but when he does 'require' some loving, he can be a wonderful companion. Especially when one of us have been poorly. He happily spends hours couched up by your side until you are feeling better...
I love him to bits.. but it is all personal taste.. I couldnt cope with the neediness of a dog,(having 3 teenagers..), but I still think they are great too.
If I were a singleton.. I would still choose to have a cat companion, I know many of my lady friends have one or two for company.. I guess if you are single and have to work full-time, it makes more sense to have pets that dont need a daily walk..
