If you've got a bit of spare cash then get yourself a simple SatNav (e.g. TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems). Without my SatNav I'd never get to half of the venues I visit

I'm cheaper (but less reliable) than Sat Nav

Straycat's post about the woman and the Sat nav may be repeated

    "erm turn left..."

"Erm.. no sorry that takes you up a one way street the wrong way.. I mean right.. erm.. why are there so many horns tooting outside the car?"

I mean.. I got lost in Aberdeen for pity's sake!
Well you said you wanted to get to know London!

Lovely idea - but I'm a new driver, living in London with no no-claims bonus and I've just bought my first car... do you really think I've got any spare cash left now?!

My Dad actually turned up on Friday with a big road atlas for me - and an apology that he couldn't afford to buy me a sat nav, bless.

And much more cuddlesome... which will be much more useful when we're lost and I'm

Did anyone else read about the coach party of school children who were supposed to be going for a bit of culture and education at Hampton Court Palace, and because the numpty coach driver just put Hampton Court in his sat nav, they ended up in an alley way in Islington?!
