Your orange hat was fab Fletch!

I like hats in general, and do wear them, but hadn't thought of wearing them dancing. I often arrive wearing one and take it off to dance! If I found a cute one that would stay on when I spun and wasn't too hot, I'd give it a try.

Men wearing hats  if it goes with the outfit and attitude, then fine.

I think it depends on the person.

Some people suit hats some people don't. It also depends on the hat!

I have a few hats all of similar style and I wear them fro dancing fairly often. It keeps my hair out my face and Look quite funky with the right outfit.

I think you also need a bit of confidence to Pull off wearing a hat while dancing! it's like most items of clothing especially if their a bit more daring or risky. They always look better if you feel comfortable and confident wearing them!

    Re: Let's talk about hats

I like hats - but I never wear one on the dance floor. Dancing MJ I'd knock the thing off within seconds and in AT I'd only be able to wear one with shortish dance partners; the brim of a trilby brushes neatly across Julie's eyes. I don't think a fez would be quite the thing.

I've got a fab leather cowboy hat that I wear when it's likely to rain. It was pouring last night and the rain was running off the brim in torrents. I was feeling all smug - and then I made the mistake of looking down and produced a waterfall which soaked my trousers.

Totally ridiculous. Anyway, it must be so hot. One loses 30% of ones heat through ones head.

I avoid asking men in hats. I assume that they think they are God's Gift.

I love hats on the ladies. Berets are my personal fav. I'm think I'll start a 'berets for Storm 08' campaign.

That's a bit like saying that women who bleach their hair look bloody stupid. It's true for some, but certainly not true for all.

Beware sweeping statements. Most are wrong (possibly even this one)

    Re: Let's talk about hats

Hats can look good on some folks, but not if they wear them all the time – it then makes you wonder what they're hiding...

Bandanas rarely look good on guys – especially if they are only worn to hide baldness.

As for dancing with a hat – done it a few times, and it's surprisingly easy to adjust.

Dancing with a hat wearer – again, not so hard to adjust, just so long as the hat isn't stupidly big. The obvious problem is that a wee mistake leading to a slight bash of a hat usually has worse consequences that a slight bash to the head.
