The saga continues
got my new tower now and an Ipod with 800 tracks on.
just downloaded Itunes and of course the library is empty on the pc and it tells me that I cannot put the tracks from my Ipod onto the pc
Is their a solution to this dilemma....

Is this a Vista thing? I think Vista doesn't work with the current iTunes - you need a special download.

I seem to recall you did a back up from your old pc?
Can you not copy the music across from your back up?

I used the mac version for someone to get their music collection back after their PC drive failed. Seemed to work fine.
That would be the best way. Actually you can copy the library information across too and it will restore all the information other than the "created" date IIRC.
To get music off your iPod, I recommend XPlay. It has a free trial.

whats with all this "authorizing" computers, I assume you can install windows then itunes on vmware and move itunes onto any machine you like running vmware , including linux, without running into any problems ? anyone tried ?
