What if it's not so much manly as.....sensible?
Dance wear for grown us? No pink, No frilly, No glitter, No sequins and definitely No lycra!!!
And they will sell red shoes!
So who wants to open a manly dance shoe shop?
Whilst trudging around Covent Garden yesterday looking for some new shoes, the amount of pinkness, frilliness and the rails of leotards was definitley trigguring my fight-or-flight response

I had a fabulous pair from here - look in the bargain section. Or, you can really pay a fortune, but they will last and last... and last... and last!!!
oh dont get me started on shoes! When you dance you want to look good in what your wearing right? I am probably what you'd call a slave to fashion or a trendsetter! If i'm wearing a certain outfit i cannot wear shoes that look wrong, for example pink trainers with a yellow top, it looks a bit vile really doesnt it? So i have two pairs of dancing shoes now, lovely black square toed, and my fabulous pink trainers! i have got my eye on a pair of silver slingbacks though hmmmm wheres dad??? lol x
when we were at Rockbottom's earlier this year, Mick and Jo Venger gave me a fab tip
I couldn't understand how they were dancing in trainers, and not sticking to the floor Gaffer Tap, and it works, so if you have a particular pair of shoes that match an 'outfit' and comfortable enough to dance in, try it, but shhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone its a sectret
and Joe's conned me into buying him a pair of shoes yesterday Zebra print, with leather bottom's can anyone tell me why i'm spending £70 on a pair of shoes for a 9 year old to dance in
Best of it when we got home he said 'all's I need now is a brown pair' best get working then Joe...me lad

Another tip is spray glue and Chamois Leather ( Shiny side down!)
Does anyone actually look good in those clumpy, split soled, trainer type dance shoes? Answers on a postcard please.....
The first part is a simple statement of fact about what was worn, fair enough. The second part was the harsh part to my mind and unnecessary.
In answer to the original question, I am not a fan of the trainers and skirt combo, I feel the trainers look clumpy and do not finish of an outfit well.
perhaps i'm wrong but i'm sure she was the lady in the loo when I was in there and she was been told about her dress, by someone in a position of respect
if she was the lady and i'm not saying she was she was fully aware of peoples comments and what was happening
so IMO if you are aware and do nothing about it, the llikelihood you will get people commenting, but if his was the case, perhaps it was her bit of attention.
I have dreadful wardrobe malfunctions, and don't always get it right, but if I was pulled to one side, and it pointed out to me, I would do something about it.
so I think my comment 'real class' is justified and quite tame, I must be getting mellow in my old age.
The person concerned does not have the same command of the english language that you and I have, thus we can't assume she understood the comments and went on regardless.
This subject has already been done to death so shall we just put it to bed?
