    Inability to rep

I've tried to rep people a number of times today but the little drop-down box doesn't appear when I click the scales icon. This often happens. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

yeah. you need to stop repping the same people all the time.

If you right click you will see a little message that says 'take your nose out of this forumites bottom and rep someone who deserves it'

    Something like that, anyway.

For some reason, the message doesn't appear in Firefox - you have to open it in a new window to be displayed.

That's a known bug. Well, I know about it, anyway

Strangely enough, it wasn't DT I was trying to rep.
Never mind, hun, maybe one day, huh?

DJ, you're going to have to explain more clearly than that - how do I open the new window? Is it a metaphor for my new post-dance life?

Right-click on the link, and select "open in new window" (or "open in new tab").

    Re: Inability to rep

AFAIK, you are prevented from repping by
    * not having repped 9 other people since last repping your target
    * having given rep 6 times in the previous 24 hours
    * some sub-forums not permitting rep to be added to postings therein

The workaround of opening that link in a new window does work but be aware that even though it leaves a 'neutral' comment it still resets the count until you can rep that person again (rep with points that is - obviously you could use the workaround again to leave a 'neutral' comment)

Yep, thanks Rob - know all of that and sometimes I have to check to see if that person is in my last list of reppees, but sometimes that darned box just doesn't want to open up
