    Bunny Rabbit Dancers

    Have you ever seen a rabbit having sex. ? Well when i get somebody who dances without a break, sway, stop, dip, lean.... that just keeps going, going and going... frantically chucking you around the room to the music i call them bunny rabbit dancers. This, in my opinion, is the worst form of dancing and actually turns me off dancing for a couple of dances.

    My questions are;

    1.how as a follower do you stop somebody doing it without hurting their feelings.

    2. Are bunny Rabbit dancers like that in bed do we think

    3. Why is musicality not taught as a matter of course in lessons

    4. How as a follower can you make a rabbit dancer stop whilst dancing apart from hijacking or is that our only option.??

    What do we think.

    X

    Swift kick in the nads should slow them down a bit.

    I know what you mean though. Most of these Rabbit dancers think they are brilliant too, as they have managed to fit in 326 moves in to a 3 minute song.

    The rabbits usually sweat too. Never a good look.

    What happens if the music is a non-stop high paced song that doesn't have anything that suggests you should break, sway, stop, dip or lean? I sometimes enjoy taking fast songs at a fast, non-stop, pace. It can be exhausting and fun.

    You can interpret instead. Do a return at half speed. Take any opening to slow down the dance. You might get the lead to respond. There was a thread recently about followers trying to slow down the dance.

    of course we all like a fast one but im talking general dances. you do get dancers who just go on and on and on to all songs regardless of its beat, speed or tempo.

    yes interpreting would be a good idea, but isn't slowing down a return a form of hijacking.?

    Yeah, I've seen them (I'm hoping that at the time I'm not looking in a mirror ) and I've danced with a few followers who seem to have no desire to slow down. I suppose the leads that do this learnt it at that speed and have no desire to follow the beat or maybe they are just in a rush to get somewhere.

    Not according to David James .

    But I'm not sure it is. If the return isn't being assisted to suggest a speed then really it's just an invitation to the lady. She gets to pick the speed she does that at.
