Music at the moment is amazing. There is so much talent. Sure it's not all what I like but I can see it's real talent and real musicians.

One thing that learning to dance has done f is open up all genres of music for me. I listen to so much now that before I just didn't understand.

One last word on music - MIKA is awesome

Um - does anybody remember Emo Phillips?

Talking of the charts - they've never been much of an indication of the best music around.

Listening in the mid 70s you might have thought that Chinn and Chapman were the best of British music - clearly not the case while Graham Parker and Elvis Costello were limbering up, scrofulous grumpy looking teenagers were preparing to introduce Oxford Street basements to their version of punk, Genesis were taking The lamb lies down on Broadway on tour, Rod Temperton was getting the experience with Heatwave (Boogie nights, for example) that led to him writing 6 of the tracks on Michael Jackson's Off the wall and Thriller lps, including the single Thriller itself.

A visit to the 100Club(100 Oxford St.) is worth it any time.

The walls are a record of some fantastic artists from the sublime to the obvious. The posters are brilliant, the atmosphere without parallel bar how I'd expect the CavernClub to feel.

If you can Lindy or Swing go on a Monday night - Swing band, Dancing and Atmosphere Brilliant! Ask Minnie She'll tell you!
