I am not sure I will bother getting up in the morning if 7 or 8 inches is commonplace.
So some forecasts are predicting as much as 8 inches of snow in the hills with a fair dusting even in London
Give 1 inch or 2.5cm brings the national railways to a complete halt ,what would several more inches do, simply mine blowing
We are all warned we are all prepared so lets expect the chaos that follows
Maybe ill have to ‘work form home’
Why cant we cope with a bit ‘weather’
Ok 8 inches is rare but surely we should be able to handle it with a bit of thought or is that too hard to swallow??
Maybe just a big let down, time will tell

Aberdeen tends to be sheltered by the Grampians and warmed by the coast (it may not feel like it at times though) it's further inland that really suffers ... up by Royal Deeside for example.
I'm not anticipating 7 or 8 inches .. but then I'm not a meteorologist
It's snowing. The roofs are white over
(i am on a night shift i should add, i haven't stayed up specially to see it, i'm not quite that sad )
Everything is white... and it just started snowing again
(less good for getting to work, I admit, but it looks pretty )
I'm glad I work in a school! It's closed Now I can go and make a snow man instead. Ironically my husband and kids headed off at 6am, to go on a skiing holiday, the airport has been closed! So I have a day off, alone at home, whilst they sit in an airport for a day.
We got 5 inches or so in Chesham. The hills have not been gritted so when I left for work at 7am there were cars already stuck on the hills due to accidents. It took me over half an hour to attempt the hills and go home again. I was too scared to keep going.
Afterall, why crash my car and trash several others causing thousands of pounds of damage trying to get into work when the driving conditions are not safe.
Raining here
"If you rebel against high heels, take care to do so in a very smart hat.'' George Bernard Shaw
a "light mushy dusting" in Aberdeen. (as predicted by the Beowulf optimistic meteorological service ) Barely enough to wet the soles of my boots.
No snow, rain or even frost in Glasgow.

Checked the trains website first thing. Running, but with severe delays. If it wasn't for the new guy starting today (who I've got to train) and the infernal, I mean internal lunch I have to organise, I would have called in. As it was, I live practically the furthest out, but was still the first in the office at 8.30 am (! how did THAT happen, got to the station at the normal time). I looked like the Abominable Snowman (as opposed to just abominable) by the time I'd walked to the station (too unsafe to drive).
It's still snowing hard. After lunch, I'm outta here.
My boss is unsympathetic - all right for wealthy West Londoners innit
Ooooh, that feels better
Incredible as it may seem my train into London this morning was only 10 minutes late. Got into work to find that half my work mates who live in London haven't bothered to turn up
It's falling quite steadily here in Lancashire. I live in the rural parts and the snow looks so beautiful wrapped around the ancient Parish Church and rolling hills. However it wears a bit thin when you can't get out cos the snow ploughs don't shift some of the roads and you'r skidding around on frozen slush. Still hey ho its only for a while and I am working at home today.
Quite a lot of snow here, getting down my road was ummmm, interesting! Only 15 mins late at work though. Had some pillock actually overtake me on the way (and I'm not a slow driver by any means, I just know when you can and can't go fast!)
Four inches and rising out here in the Northants mountains, I live out in the sticks so did not even attempt to get into work this morning. Still snowing so might not even make it in at all today. If that happens it will be the first time that snow has stopped me getting in to work for god knows how many years.
I live in hope for the snow to pile on a few inches of snow. I want to have a few snow days its been rather disappointing so far. Last year we had 4
Its snows but it aint sticking around but for some reason people still insist in driving at below the average speed limit even if the road clear.
Last year i made snowmen, snow angels and even an igloo in the garden. Of course it was only had room for my nephew or niece.
Roll on the snow.. I want go out on the snowboard!
Anyone know a snow dance?
I want it to melt now. I've got my day off work, so now i want to go shopping! My kids and hubby are stranded at Luton airport waiting for the flights to resume. I've got a wicked weekend planned, but i have to drive down to London first!
