My Nan used to make me and my brother 'Butter balls' lumps of cold butter, rolled in caster sugar.. we used to love 'em

Apparently they'd grease our chests!!!!... Was that meant to be a 'good' thing?

I feel sick just thinking about them now!

Well thankyou for all your suggestions everyone.. It's now middle of August and I've gone from 9st to 9st 10lbs

I used a couple of suggestions and I guess with a little time and patience it paid off!

Still a buggar trying to find clothes that fit though! Though I've gotten used to shopping in kids sections now

I've been under weight for a few months now, but however a recent stomach bug has lost me a further half a stone and I look desperately ill! I'm trying with all my might to put weight on but my body seems to lose weight the more I eat! It's crazy!

Of course, the fact that I dance 6-7 nights a week doesn't help!

What with Southport (ONLY 1 SLEEP AWAY) around the corner, I'm gonna need all the fat resources I can gather...

    Help?
To obtain weight gain or weight lose the balance needs to be right. Exercise constitutes 30% whilst diet is 70% when gaining or losing weight. Carbs will only help with having food to burn when dancing 6-7 days per week!! I have a high protein diet as I do wieght training 3-4 times per week and dance 3-4 times per week also. Protein in your diet will help muscle development as long as you are doing weight training or heavy lifting. Eat to many carbohydrates and the remaining energy will turn to fat................so cakes, pork pies, ice cream will end up on your ass or gut. So try to eat protein with the carbs to balance the meal. On average it would seem that you are burning over 2000 per day, dancing everyday. So your calories intake should be 2400 per day to gain weight. Simply eating lots will not help, "you are what you eat". Better to be slim than overweight when dancing anyway.......................you will have greater flexibility as long as you eat enough good healthy meals each day. I danced 6-7 days per week and the weight fell off, trouble was I had little weight to lose. So I joined a gym and now do weights 3-4 times per week. I now have improved my strength and endurance, plus I have gained 6 kgs naturally in the last 6 months!! So I am now 188cm and 74kgs which suits me perfectly for dancing.
