    Did anybody watch...

...the programme about the smallest people in the world. It featured 5 Americans all with the same form of dwarfism. They grow to no more than 3ft 6 inches tall and have very high pitched voices but are perfectly in proportion.

It has been a long time since I have been completely mesmorised by a TV programme but I thought it was brilliantly done and really opened your eyes to the problematic lives that not only the dwarves but also their families have to live.

No, I recorded it though and will watch it now

I watched a programme about a 14years old blind boy, who 'sees' by bouncing clicks, made by his mouth off of objects... absolultely amazing!

Gosh, two great programmes highlighting the courage and trials some people have to go through, just to do what 'we' take for granted.

We need programmes like these to put our everyday niggles in perspective

Now to be very 'UN' PC... weren't their voices cute

No I didnt. This is my Opinion and only my Opinion :eeek:
I might be small but that really scares me.
I find Dwarfism really frightening and have phobias about it.

    Nuff said

    .. but perfectly formed

Sadly I missed it. There's some really interesting people out there who have had problems far in excess of any we could have suffered and they just get on with it and make the most of their lot. Puts things into perspective

I watched Richard Hammond's spectacular Jet car crash.. it was a miracle he survived let alone made a full recovery. But I have to say, although I have all respect for the guy and getting "back up there" and getting back to work. He put himself in that situation of his own three will.. three times.

    Re: Did anybody watch...

There is a lady at one of the venues I dance at who is only about 4' tall, this can cause problems when we're in class together as I am a shade over 6'. Not conducive with combs and baskets really! The first time I danced freestyle with her I tried to avoid those types of moves, but due to my very limited repartee I found myself heading into a basket on auto pilot! I found that with very little adjustment we could easily do these types of moves together.

Now I always dance with her in freestyle when I see her, she doesn't get asked much which is a real shame 'cus she's lovely

Not quite sure what that had to do with a program on blind people... oh yeah, short people and the challenges they face.

He's not quite the same though is he? He seemed a little detached and definitely looks like he's aged a few years (I think the fact that he's lost a lot of weight does most of that). Very ironic what he was saying before he got in the jet car!

Something like 'This could be the biggest crash you've ever seen'
I think it's amazing, he seemed fine to me apart from the weight loss making his eyes seem huge!
