    Norway - Aaaaah, beautiful!
    Alps - Ooooh, beautiful!
Jackson Hole (and surrounsing mountains / national parks) - Wow, beautiful!
Scottish mountains, esp. Isle of Skye, Mull, the north-west coast - Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Yep, I like spectacular, clean, gorgeous countryside, with mountains, waterfalls, crystal-clear sea or lakes................ Peace and quiet..... Aaaaaah!

Love Stockholm as well, just such a beautiful city with lots to see and do. And the ice-cream....

I also love going to non-touristy places (eastern Europe, 'unknown' places in Morocco etc), where they don't really speak English and you have to make do with the two words you know in their language, and sign language! I once ordered a meal in Russia by imitating animal sounds and miming!! I also discussed pottery with a local potter in Safi, Morocco, who didn't speak more than about ten words of English. We used English, French (all three phrases I can remember....), sign language, and in his case Arabic with big hand gestures!

I've never been tempted by a beach holiday in Majorca (where there's probably more tourists than locals), clubbing holidays, Las Vegas etc. Not my scene, I think.

My least favourite place in Italy.
Too hot in summer as it's in a valley.
    Too many tourists.
Just how many madonna and child paintings can a person look at and still marvel?
Much prefer Siena or any hilltop place in Tuscany.

Milan isn't very exciting as a tourist; much better if you want to shop.........however, the science museum there is fantastic and it's right opposite the church where the Last Supper is kept (religious art is obligatory viewing over there).

Don't go in the summer, I have found Easter is just about right in terms of temperature and crowding, and there are plenty of things to see besides 'Madonna and child' paintings - but I'm with you on the hill-tops in Tuscany, they're absolutely beautiful

Been enough times now to be happy to never visit again.
Any time of year I've never liked it much.

Going to India in a few weeks and hoping that it will become my new top favourite. I'll need to see a fair few elephants to get bored of looking at them!
