I guess it would all depend on where in the Uk and when you were planning holiday?

Whereabouts and which studios would be worth putting on a list if one were planning to visit the UK on holiday to dance ? Just curious?

Hi Cheeks...
Anytime and anywhere ....really flexible, could travel anywhere, esp if travelling all the way from NZ. How bout then asking what would be the best time, place if one didn't have any set plans.
Well as a Scot would have to recommend Scotland has a really friendly dance scene and all venues have fab teachers fab Dj's and friendly dancers.
Theres a fair bit happening over next few months with Scotlands first Blaze weekender in May, Beach Ballroom in Feb(Loads of details on www.cerocscotland.com ) , Charity do's Feb/ March etc , monthly party's etc
also loads more happening through www.boogienights.net during April etc....... also no matter where you stay there is normally always something happening whether it be a class,t-dance, workshops etc..... within at least an hours drive.....
If you pm'd Franck or Tiggerbabe I'm sure they could be much more informative......
Also fab views were ever you are with lots of fab walks, skiiing and night life! Weather is traditional Scottish cold and wet!
Not really up to date on whats happening down South in England etc as not managed to travel that far yet but I'm sure a fellow friendly formite will keep you updated.........
Hope this is of some help

Scotland's one of the friendliest areas, so if you are up north, you will definitely find somewhere nice to go. However most places of the UK have somewhere reasonable to dance vaguely close by (more so perhaps in the south-east of England) - post a list of where you were thinking of visiting on this forum, and I'm sure that you would get some useful replies about where/where not to go.
If you can get your trip to coincide with a "weekender" style dance event, that'd be really good fun as well. Well attended weekends include the ones at Southport and the Ceroc organised ones. Of course it depends on how long you are there for....
Thanx guys for offering some help. Have really apppreciated hearing your thoughts
If you just want to have an idea of where there are classes then have a look at the map at http://www.afterfive.co.uk/maps/Modern_Jive-links.html -- or the map at www.modernjive.com
