Surprisingly, yes it was.
I have been getting increasingly fed up with my local venue and even though my improvisations last night were labelled by some followers as moves that I did wrong, I really did have a good time.
The usual full pace ceroc music, which I normally don't really like, but for some reason I really "clicked" with the music and with the ladies I was dancing with.
I'd rather have a night like that at one fo the best freestyles or weekenders, but it still felt great anyway.

Fantastic night for me last night at CerocLive in Bath
partly because I haven't been been dancing for about a month (away on business)
partly an excellent selection of tunes
partly getting asked by loads of ladies, consequently sitting out almost no dances all night
anyway, thanks Richard!
Amazing might be a little OTT - but I had a good time at MK last night.
Have been on a little dancing 'low' since Southport, and last night made me feel a lot better.
Compared to your profile pic is you hair now much shorter?
Thought so - yes we did dance. You are a lot of fun. I was the "not very good but trying my best" bloke in the orange t-shirt and brown trousers.
I certainly had a good night at MK, so that is two forumites I notched up - are there any more takers?
Had a fantastic time last night thanks to 'the good people of Salomons' gonna to miss you guys , Hope that Birmingham ceroc will be as friendly and fun.
I went Wolverhampton last night, and as soon as I walked in I was met with a genuinely warm welcome, it was lovely to see some of the old faces there. The place was buzzing and the people there looked as if they were having such fun.
The music was the best I have ever hear at Wolves well done Lou, there wasn't a single track that I didn't enjoy dancing to, and the gaps between tracks was just right.
I felt like I had come home
I'm going to miss dancing with you this weekend Stokie, theres allway room for a little one TB
Last night was pretty amazing for me in Cov. My dancing was pants, but the people were great, the music was excellent, and a guy who started the same week as me and has been pretty unconfident and spent tracks and tracks doing just armjives has suddenly become this awesome dancer, which made me
Some people even asked me to dance!
So despite 4 refusals in 3 evenings, I'm feeling pretty good!
Just a shame I can't make the freestyle tonight.
This is not dance related, but I don't know how to start a thread, but last night I went to see X.Factor in Notts, and it was fantastic. The eight acts from the show were all there Ray,Ben,Leona,Ashley and the rest. Eaton Road opened the show to fantastic stage efforts and the crowd got going straight away and then two of the guys from the group did the compare job a bit like Ant and Dec really funny. I have been to lots of shows over the years but this was one of my favs and I was given the ticket this week as someone had dropped out so it was a bonus that I got a chance to see what I would have missed out on. So tonight I will be going to Coventry so I hope I have a amazing tonight
Had a great time on Thursday night. Even though I had a really evil time at work so was pretty much dead my feet.
Wednesday nights dancing was just what i needed and tuesday I had a great night out
Anyone else got the friday feeling???
I went to see The Naked Truth at our local theatre last night... What a fantastic show!!
The all-female cast made me laugh til my sides ached and then in an instant the whole focus shifted and everyone was crying...
Hilarious, yet poignant - a truly fab show. And all about pole-dancing too!
Would definitely recommend it, and it was lovely to spend some time with non-dancing friends that I'm sometimes guilty of neglecting.
Wolverhampton last night was just soooooo much fun. Great music to dance to, usually high standard of lesson taught my Majah and a great crowd of people to dance with of all standards (must have been well over 120 people there last night).
I had so many brilliant dances too. Special thanks to TwirlieBird and Fletch, always a pleasure girls
I also got asked by one of the more experienced girls to dance, and when the track finished she asked if we could carry on dancing to the next one Now THAT was a real confidence boost! I feel as if my lead may be improving too, as I don't remember once being back led last night either - including in the intermediate lesson when it must be super-tempting for the follow to 'help out'
I love dancing
