Franck, can we have a separate forum for Barry's rants? Ta.
See the article.
Yes, it's me, ol' Barry, on my high horse again. Mr Fayed is bleating that even the humungous amount of money wasted on this farrago to date is not adequate, we must spend more.
Groundbreaking technology with data from 186 million points was used to put together the 3D model of the scene in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel to an accuracy of within one centimetre. It was AN ACCIDENT, partly caused by Fayed family carelessness in assigning a drunk driver to no. 1 son and his new girlfriend. At least 40 witnesses will give evidence at the full inquest, many of them French and some appearing by video-link from Paris.
Just how much of our money is it going to take to make this odious git sod off back to Egypt?

Let your mind go and your body will follow. – Steve Martin, LA Story
You may think that. And I may agree with you. Of course, if he's convinced that his son was murdered, then he might want to pursue the matter as far and as long as he can.
I mean, some people have made just as much fuss in other perceived injustices. Such as, for example, Queen being ranked ahead of the Beatles in some minor poll.
You get the feeling he'll only be happy when everyone agrees with him Ok Fayed : Yes they were killed by the secret service who, through the use of a cybernetic implant, forced the driver to drive very fast into a pillar. Helped by the fact that the normal seatbelts had previously been replaced with tissue paper ones.
Barry, I'm frankly shocked that you are so closed minded about this
Well, OK, criticism noted.
No taxpayers money spent on my rants, though.
And (not that anyone will) I recommend reading the Paget report and then asking yourself: can he really believe that it was murder? (Read the sections in the report about his attempts to coerce people into telling lies to bolster his story, for example) and if he does, shouldn't he be sectioned under the Mental Health Act ?
Personally I think Fayed should consider starting a religion - i'm sure he'd like to deify Diana and Dodi and get some sacred texts written. It worked for L Ron Hubbard
You (we) don't know anything, by that criterion. At some point, we have to accept that there's been enough investigation to make any further inquests a waste of time and money.
Have you read the Stevems report? I've skimmed it, and it's convinced me - or was that fiction too? Get back under your bridge...
I've (still) got some sympathy for Al Fayed, but I'm losing it pretty quick. His actions have delayed this investigation for years already, and it looks like it'll be a few more years before the whole thing's finished/
Having just read the wikipedia entry on L Ron Hubbard - Fayed is the epitome of mental health in comparison. The words CUCKOO came to mind.
