I may be voiceless, but I cry.
I may be wingless, but I flutter.
I may be toothless, but I bite.
I may be mouthless, but I mutter.

I might struggle there with the english thing...

can the wind cry ? I imagine than you can use all sort of metaphoric verbs for the wind, such as cry, flutter, bite or mutter ?

    Re: Riddles

Three men check into a hotel, the manager charges them £30 for one room with three single beds which they share. The men go to their room and settle in, after a few moments the manager realises his mistake, he over charged the three men, the room rate was only £25. He sends for the bellboy to return £5 to the three men. On his way to the room the bellboy realises that he can't split £5 between 3 men so he decides to give each man £1 and pocket the remaining £2 as a tip. The bellboy returns the £1 to each man.

So the three men each paid £9 for the room, or a total of £27, include the £2 tip the bellboy kept and that equals £29, what happened to the other pound?

    The Butler did it!!

    ok, seriously:

The room cost £25 or £8.34 each
The remaining £5 is split with £1 to each man and £2 to Bellboy.

There is no remaining pound - It has just be rounded up too much.

    Re: Riddles

I don't think it's to do with rounding numbers, I think it's more related to that kids trick where you prove that you have 11 fingers by counting down from 10 to 6 on one hand then adding the 5 from the other hand to make 11.

The final calculation is started with £30, taking away the £3 that has been returned making £27. Take away the £2 that was pocketed and you have the £25 that the room cost.
The "trick" came when adding the £2 that was pocketed instead of taking away.

    Long-winded I know, but I think I got it.

    What am I?

I'm as small as an ant, as big as a whale.
I'll approach like a breeeze, but can come like a gale.
By some I get hit, but all have shown fear.
I'll dance to the music, though I can't hear.
Of names I have many, of names I have one.
I'm as slow as a snail, but from me you can't run.
    What am I?

Ok bit confusing this one! But the Lines:

    but all have shown fear.
    I'll dance to the music
    from me you can't run

Would suggest something like a shadow?

There is a pink single story house and everything in it is pink.
The doors are pink, the windows are pink and the TV is pink.
    What color are the stairs....

You'll have to try harder than that.

No stairs, it's a single storey house!
