How many dances did you have in 2006?

I wonder - roughly - how many dances you had in 2006?

I've referred to this in my (mildly entertaining) blog at http://ceroc.blogspot.com/ - and estimate something like 2,000 last year (due to being abroad a lot).

I'm roughing this on the basis of c. 30-35 dances per night.

I'm thinking somewhere over 10,000 then. I doubt that I managed 30-35 per night. Most class nights only have about 1.5 hours of freestyle, which is only about 25-27 tracks (I reckon about 18 an hour tops). Freestyles have a lot more of course, but also more time sitting out. I'm not as young as I used to be....

But I danced 5-6 nights most weeks. Plus more at weekenders. And then there's t-dances. And teaching at workshops - did about 30, 4 hour workshops this year I reckon.

So, I don't think that 10,000 would be a bad start. I'll make sure I count them all this year though!

Based on the 30-35 and the 25-27 figures i'd reckon bout 4000/5000 ish. Not too bad i guess - considering i can't make weekenders, and hardly do any workshops.

but in 2007 I have had 6 so far!!

Well its a bit hard to say, i go dancing 2-3 nights a week, probably about 12 dances on each night, so in my eyes i gather that works out quite alot for 2006, but i know the first 1hr 1/2 into 2007 i had about 10 dances and i plan to have some more tonight even though i have the flu.
