    Re: I love the irony...

What I don't get is why every flippin' poll ever has that tedious dirge "Imagine" as the greatest single of all time. I'm afraid I have a pathological hatred of it, not least because of the video of John Lennon playing his perfect white piano in his perfect white mansion whilst singing about having "no possessions".

Incidentally, when I found out that Channel 4 were doing a 'Best Number 1 Single of the Millenium' phone poll - or whatever it was - I immediately jumped up and voted for Captain Sensible's "Happy Talk"; it didn't even make it to 100th place. What a swizz.

    Cough! Splutter!

I do not 'rant'. I calmly berate and expostulate. See? Look - no purple face, no dilated nostrils and pupils. Perfectly calm.

I actually quite like the song. You have a damn good point about the piano and the mansion though

A poor second to Joe Dolci's "Shuddupayaface" I feel, but still worthy

Well, what's the point in jumping up if it was a phone poll? Should've phoned instead.

Interestingly, Wikipedia has this to say on the subject of Joe Dolce:
Dolce is believed to be currently residing in the Denny area, just outside Stirling after swapping his Texas ranch for a 2 bedroom maisonette, claiming "It's sound man. It's got a verranda". One night while on a night out in Falkirk, he told someone to "Shaddap You Face" and received the discipline of the baseball bat. Joe can currently be seen sitting on his verranda shouting at passers by.
Own up - who wrote that?

Berate and expostulate too much and you will get purple skin, my boy.

That's what I was told by a beautician anyway.

I hardly think Kansas were a better band than the Beatles or Queen.
