Do badly worded polls bother you?

Are you often confused by which option to tick?

Do you hate it when you want to pick more than one option, but can't?

Are you sometimes confused as to what is the question?

In short - Do you think there is room for improvement in polls?

I think the polls are quite satisfactory and most people get fun out of picking the polls apart anyway. sad that they are..... Moderators correct any issues like TOO MANY CAPITALS or not enough options or not the right options so, all in all, quite happy with them.

could do with more funky polls tho, very boring just lately or is it just me.

What bothers me is that so much of my tax money gets spent on translators for badly worded Polls. If Polls want to visit the UK, that's great, but if they can't speak good English they should go back to Polland.

Why do polls have a 'don't know' option. If you don't know, think about it till you do know. If you have thought about it and still don't know then you are not qualified to answer.

It's like the people who phone up tv polls just to say that they don't know. Why go through the effort of phoning etc if you don't know.

EDIT: lol at MH. Still no rep though :-p

Didn't you know, DONT KNOW option is for people who cant be bothered to really think about it.

its there for those boring polls that you feel obliged to vote in.

FYI - i never put dont know as an option.

Nope I didnit know that didn't know was an option for those that didn't know. I thought didn't know was an option for those that do know but didn't want to admit tht they do know by saying they didn't know. But i know now that didn't know is infact for people who don't actually know.

Too much choice on this poll.

    I'm confused.

It would be much easier if the clicky options were all the same.

We do seem to have a rash of polls at the moment though... is there a treatment?

Everyone's trying desperately to post the 10,000th thread, that's my carefully-thought-out opinion.

What the hell is "clicky clicky" when it's at home?

Re: Do badly worded polls bother you?

    Are you sitting comfortably?

Way back in the mists of... well, about 2005, was the last plague of polls. It became evident that some people (mentioning no names Dreadful Scathe) took great pleasure out of voting on them. Because they voted for everything. Ever since, there has been a cultural imperative to add a "clicky clicky" option to polls, so people who need the exercise can burn off another 0.00000057 calories by moving their mouse finger one more time.

The End. Unless anyone else wants to add anything.

Re: Do badly worded polls bother you?

The only Poll I felt I wanted to vote only had an option "don't Care" as opposed to "disagree"

I did contemplated spending 10 mins composing a coherent set of reasons why a "don't care" option on a Poll is about as pertinent as the
"Do Not Throw Stones at this Notice"Notice

Then I realised that I could not be bothered, so I obviously did not disagree enough, so 'don't care' was about right.

Just shows that the Poll framer was keen to prove his/her own contention.
