Buying Dance Shoes - where can I go west of London way?

    Hiya Guys,

Oh yes, its time to buy a pair of 1.5" heel cubans!
(Ideally Freed Narrow fit, or a nice pair of Gambas.)

I'm going to be in London this Saturday for the Hammersmith Dance, and I figure it would be nice to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Are there any shops I can go to in the west side of London? I'm ideally looking for a large shoe shop - with a wide selection/stock, and also easy to park up. (Ie inner London may be bit of a pain for me - I just want to get off the M4 from Bristol, park up, and start shopping! )

Heavenly Dance shoes is a bit of a lost cause for shoes this weekend. They already have my order - but say I'm realistically looking at next Feb - They have a big backlog, and close up 25th Dec to Feb! I've tried to call them this week - with absolutely no answer - I figure poor Sandie has pretty much shut up shop, and gone into overdrive, and is trying to get the orders out before Xmas - My turning up on Saturday isn't going to speed up my shoes being made!

    Hope you can advise
    Martin

    NB:
Buying off the Internet? I'd really fancy trying the shoes on 1st! Especially shoes... I have a bugger of a time getting a good fit with shoes.

Once I have a good brand with a good fit - I'll just buy replacements/variations off the internet then... maybe!

    - and straight up the Piccadilly line from LHR, then double back along the same line for Hammersmith. Easy.

Dancia International is also on Drury Lane, think they stock Freed too.

    keeerrrr_pppfffooooar!

    Thanks for that ladies!

    More questions:
    1. Will they be open during the week between Xmas and New year
    - The Wed, Thur Fri, Sat???
    - How about possibly boxing day?

    2. Do these kinda shops do sales???

I'm in london the week between Xmas and New year - I reckon It may be better to spend some proper time in town then - rather than a rush in/out/ill considered shopping experience this weekend!

Hhhhmmmm sounds a more do-able proposition for this weekend! We've got a bit much on! Will need to catch up sleep somewhere!

    Fri - Oxford dance
Sat - Hammersmith - never been there!
    Sun - Jango baby!
