Just wondering who is the biggest geek here?
Who does what for a living IT wise?
It'll be the one with the specciest specs.
Just my personal feeling.
Is it just me, or does that sound...?
Surely, it's geekiest geek?!?
CJ throws his hat into the ring...
Yep your right.
MODERATOR !!!!
Proof I can't do two things at once. Doing some TSQL coding. Typing goes to pot
Sadly not only do I get computers to wirk, but I enjoy it
Can I have a proper job please?
How do you suggest the selection should be made?
- Using the Geek test or something?
- Listing reasons that make one eligible?
Even though all of my work, and much of my leisure time involves playing – oops! – I mean working with computers and other random computery technology I can't be a geek.
I don't like all that Lord of the Ring fantasy nonsense, don't read or watch any Sci-Fi unless it's funny (e.g. Hitchhiker's or Futurama), and I have some fashion sense.
I don't even know why I'm posting on this thread...
Let your mind go and your body will follow. – Steve Martin, LA Story
Presumably, the geekiest geek will know what the motto of the monastery is. They will also know what the monastery *is*.
If there is more than one answering that question, then they'll need a feed to *the other place*.
Down, Not across yes?. The B****** operator from hell.
Geek credentials?
Ok was Co-Sysop on a BBS Pre-WWW (well before the WWW was what it is today). Wrote my own door games.
Had a website called S*x-4-geeks a tongue in cheek mock-charity but was mainly a repository for geeky jokes, my computer programs etc.
Am a computer programmer / web designer for a living. I write applications for PC and PDA and am never far away from my IPAQ (my spare brain really)
I read math books for fun. I once calculated Pi to over 5000 decimal places over an annoyingly long time on my home PC because I felt like it.
Most of my books are either Sci-fi or fantasy or Computer/math books.
I (at last count) had 6 domains and associated websites on the go.
I have over 600 DVD's and a very nerdy habit of memorising most of the lines our of them. ( sorry)
I have 3 Slide rules, a 1940's AVO meter, an excessive number of very loud ugly shirts and far too many t-shirts imported from Think Geek in the USA.
I know my geek code. and I also know that the 8 numbers that make up my date of birth in ddmmyyyy format crops up at position 96,698,076 in Pi.
And I know allt he words (and sing along to) Three dead trolls in a baggie- "Every OS Sucks" and ''Weird Al'' Yankovic- "It's all about the Pentiums"
me a geek?
naw what gives you that idea?
note I CAN'T be a geek.. I have a girlfriend and a life
