So how many MJ venues have you danced at in UK?

The three nights a week theme has got me wondering how many venues are there are to dance MJ in UK?

Across all the MJ dance organisations. (Best avoid WCS and Lindy & weekenders to make it manageable).

I think there are 158 for Ceroc

I was also wondering who has danced at the most amount?

Could be a good charity activity (for some dance crazed do gooder)!

Off the top of my head my dance list is. (inc Non ceroc *) = 43

How may letters of Alphabet have you covered?

I have done 19, need to do F,I,J,P,Q, X,Z may struggle with a couple of these.

Fancy posting all 158 (or a link to a list of them) so that we can do a count-up?

Oh god. I'm not sure that I'm going to ever be able to remember everywhere.

Yours seem to include a lot of different places in London. Does that mean that we put all the different places we've danced in all the other different towns too? Or does 'Aberdeen' only count once, even if you've danced at 4 different class nights there?

For my first count, I've danced in 26 different venues in Scotland – but 8 of these places are not (currently) used for regular events.

Here's the list – * is regular weekly venues, and ** regular and semi-regular freestyle venues.
    1. Inverness – Waterside Hotel *
    2. Aberdeen – Beach Ballroom **
    3. Aberdeen – Northern Hotel **
    4. Aberdeen – Douglas Hotel
    5. Aberdeen – Station Hotel
    6. Aberdeen – Jumpin' Jak's *
    7. Kirriemuir – Thingmy Hotel
    8. Dundee – Millennium Hall **
    9. Dundee – Bonar Hall **
    10. Dundee – Invercarse Hotel *
    11. Perth – Quality Hotel (?)
    12. Perth – Salutation Hotel *
    13. Pitlochry – Thingmy Hotel
    14. Stirling – Albert Halls
    15. Stirling – Golden Lion Hotel *
    16. Stirling – King Robert Hotel **
    17. Glasgow – Jumpin' Jak's *
    18. Glasgow – GUU **
    19. Glasgow – Rutherglen *
    20. Glasgow – Thingmy Hall
    21. Glasgow – Woodside Halls **
    22. Edinburgh – Marco's * **
    23. Edinburgh – Harvester Business Centre **
    24. Edinburgh – Corn Exchange **
    25. Edinburgh – Musselburgh
    26. Edinburgh – Some Hotel

Outside Scotland I've danced in only 4 places that I can think of...
    1. Blackpool – Winter Gardens
    2. Southport
    3. Camber
    4. Weston-super-Mare

    Alphabetically, think that's 12 letters...

    131. The ones marked * are non-Ceroc. The ones marked ^ I've taught and/or DJ'd at. I didn't bother breaking down the cities into different venues in most cases. But if I've been to Ceroc, and non-Ceroc events in both, then I've included them twice.

And I know I've missed lots. But I'm not going any further than that. Rep to anyone who can point out any place that I've missed...

Hoping that it's "positive rep" you meant, then:
    - Muswell Hill
    - Shenley
    - New St. Albans

Sorry. Not done any of them. Only ever danced at the one venue in St Albans, and never at the other 2. Nice try though. And yes. Positive rep!

Burnham, if you're posh (Slough if you're not)

    Hmm.....

Actually yes. And Bracknell and Basingstoke.

Used to teach at all 3 of those. How did I manage to forget them?

But I still can't give you any rep. Not done enough people since last time!
