    Name and shame!

    Now I've got your attention

This is the award thread for The Most Boring Christmas Card of 2006. As the self-declared Forum Anti-Dullness expert, I would like to propose Andy McGregor as judge, if he is willing to take on this huge responsibility.

My contribution below. I've nothing against CLIC Sargent (children's cancer charity, what could be more worthy?). But this card

Afraid it's nothing new. One of our suppliers used it about 10yrs ago for their company which was called 'Sprout'.

I am, of course, fearless in the face of boredom. I accept this role and will be looking for boring cards. I will announce the winner in the week before Christmas

Sorry, but I think the sprout card is great.

Looking at it in close-up, however, I think they let themselves down by not buying fresher.

I must have a warped sense of humour but I like the sprout card!
    Talking of sprouts...(minor digression)...

The "name and shame" is working - all these people admitting they like boring cards all on their own

    Re: Name and shame!

I think the sprout-tree is quite clever. Didn't really notice the tree thing at first. Thanks Alice for pointing it out.

Have to say that this one (from the same place) is rather dull...

(Oh, and BTW, I got (I think) about 530 points in Babycham's sprout-bashing game. Fun wee game to play when you're feeling grumpy for whatever reason. )

I think Alice is wrong and its just a pile of brussel sprouts... the tree bit is completely in your imagination, trying to come up with a cogent reason why someone woudl put a pile of slightly old brussel sprouts on a christmas card.

Its just a pile of sprouts.

Follow the link – the card is called "Tree of Sprouts".

    Re: Name and shame!

I'm not sure if boring is the word, but completely random in the Christmas sense. Here's one that my office have produced for this year.

OK you think Christmas - what images spring to mind?

    Of course! That's it!

A row of army boots! What could possibly be more festive?

I'm so gonna end up with the sack for this aren't I?
