Is there anyone on here or off that has appeard in a TV Show / music vid or other?

Any youtube clips to back it up?

I think that half the ceroc dancers in Australia were part of the Olympic opening ceremony. World-wide coverage. I can't do better than that!

I was in the film 'Shoreditch', starring and produced by Shane Ritchie. Never even made it to video, let alone general release. Sigh.

    - that's the one that grossed about £7.43 isn't it?

I wouldn't put that on your resume, if I were you

Remember the Faking It episode where the kick boxer "became" a ballroom dancer?

I was in the "dance competition" that was held. It was a total set up for her to do well (not that you couldn't have guessed that it would be... )

Interesting.... so what did they do to enable her to do well (presumably without giving her away to the judges)?

I vaguely remember that being the one where she was identified as a fake by someone who didn't place her in last place - would that be right?

Can't remember whether they sussed her out or not but seem to remember she did quite well

The routines she did were completely choreographed to the music so all the drops/flash bits were on the breaks. In addition, they played the same track each round - completely different to who comps are run in the real world!

It was clear that she hadn't been dancing long (to all us "pro dancers" obviously * ) (* and I mean "pro" in the loosest sense!) Her dancing was really wooden and fake!! Plus, none of us recognised ANY of the judges (and most were regular competitors)

Oh well, it was a fun day out and we got paid expenses

I can at least say I've been on telly (sorry, correction needed, my arm's been on telly... )

    Re: Pro dancers

I've never been on TV dancing (apart from a news clip for about 3 seconds (and it wasn't my dancing that was the news BTW it was a gig)).

I have been on the Bill loads of times though when I was younger. They used to film it around where me and my Cousin hung out (Croydon). We would quite often be asked to be in crowds surrounding a victim or walk down the road etc.

Loads of us were in 'The Big Dance' back in June. But I don't think the Ceroc group got filmed dancing at all, cos we obviously weren't interesting enough - a few of us got on camera behind Arlene Phillips though.

And a certain gorgeous forumite was in the film 'Swing Kids' too, apparently... (won't name any names, I don't want to embarrass her)

From Memory I've seen Nigel & Nina on:
Blue Peter, Generation Game, GMTV and Richard & Judy as well as dancing in the film "Swing"

Then there were the four couples who were recently on ITV's "The Mint"

and of course Victor & Carol were on Strictly Come Dancing along with Alex from the midlands!

    Re: Pro dancers

I wouldn't exactly call it being a 'pro', and I wasn't on tv for more than about 0.5 secs, at about 0.5cm high, but I was a specialist extra in a salsa competition on an episode of Peak Practice once. (I don't even think any of my dancing made it to tv - I think it's just being stood around. I do have a copy on vid.)

I'd never seen it before, so didn't go all swoony over the stars, and it was a fairly dull 7 hours of standing around doing not much. But it was a great, very well paid experience, that was a very interesting insight into the way such things are filmed (and dancing to no music so they can capture the dialogue is a bizarre experience!)

A dancer from up here in the Midlands, Sara, had a cameo part in the film Kinky Boots. The film was based on her husbands business.

It was a tiny 2 seconds quite near the end, there was a group standing under a bridge, she was one of them. Her and her husband had alot to do with the making of the film though, being as it was all about his factory, they were guests at the premier etc. Personally i was a little disappointed when i saw it, probably because of all the hype amongst the dancers in this area.

    Re: Pro dancers

I was on 'The Word' once.

They did a special report on a soul weekender that I went to in Prestatyn (about 17 years ago Flava Flav was the top act on that weekend) Long before my ceroc days.....still got on there for my dancing though. Obviously a different type of dancing.

    Doubt if it grossed anything!

I don't put anything on my "resumé" - being English, I have a CV.
