    Heroes - a new addiction?

Well - during my convalescing period, browsing the web, I came across this new series, which was getting some nice reviews.

So, being a true geek, I downloaded an episode, and watched it.
Then another. Then all of them. Currently on episode eight - there've been nine so far. Anyone else seen anything of this? So far, I'm seriously, seriously impressed - and completely hooked - I can't think of anything else which has drawn me in like this since Firefly. (OK - so it's not quite THAT good, but it's good...)

No idea when (whether) it comes out in this country though.

I thought this was about chocolate.

Was gonna talk about my packet of Cadbury's Orange Snaps I'm eating at the moment.

Aren't Snaps the best - I love Pringles but sometimes get a chocolate urge and Cadbury Snaps are the perfect combination of both

Small update - I've now downloaded and watched all nine episodes (next one is on Monday)

Completely, utterly, absolutely hooked. Forget Lost - this is waaay better
A lot quicker at handing out answers too...

Thanks for the link. I'll look out for that.

Seems its about everyday people who discover that they have special powers, for example: "In Japan, a young man develops a way to stop time through sheer will power"

Its amazing what some people will do to get noticed.

I can sometimes go for 1-2 hours without eating through sheer will power.

Guess I'll have to set my sights a little higher if I'm to achieve any kind of recognition.

Seen the first 15 episodes now, and I've managed to get more than half my office hooked (and a few others) - to the point where I get threatened with violence if I don't deliver new episodes on time ('on time' sometimes being before they're aired, which is a little unfair...)

Looking forward to the BBC2 debut - the pressure might be off then

Still the best series since Firefly.

Apparently this "Heroes" thing is something that I should be watching. I might get around to it at some stage .

Re: Heroes - a new addiction?

The first episode is on the Sci-Fi UK web site.

I missed it on Monday, so I hoped I could catch it either on the web site, or in a "re-run" during the week.

But there seems to be two episodes on tonight at 9.00 and 10.10 – "Genesis", and "Don't Look Back".

Did the Sci-Fi channel show two episodes on Monday?

    I'm confused.

Yes, they showed the first two as a double bill - was repeated yesterday, and I guess tonight as well.

I love the scifiuk.com heroes registration options:

    • I've already registered with scifiuk.com, because I'm clever.
    • No worries, I'll register now. Bring on the Heroes goodness!

OK, so just watching the first episode on the web isn't enough.

Guess I know what I'll be doing tonight... (That's right! Working out how to work my video recorder again! )

(Thanks Gadget and DJ for the info. )

Great series. Like a lot of US shows, the back plot is quite weak and goes on and on with nothing much happening, but aside from that, my 2nd fav show ATM. Episode 1 of series 2 is just out as well Doh! Straycat beat me to it.

'Eureka' is quite a good sci-fi'ish show as well, tho not so action'y.

I quite like the backstory of Heroes - I think it's very well thought out and executed.

The latest one to have hooked me though is Dexter. Extremely dark, twisted, but wonderful. Hope it makes it over here.
