Really, I'm not bothered by spelling errors. I'm not, honestly. Mmm.

But if some kind moderator would correct the spelling of 'sea' in the title of this thread it would be a huge weight off my mind...

The Dance "Bottle in the Sea" Thank-You Note game

    But seriously...

Saturday 14th July Beach Ballroom and the Sunday 15th Chill out

Dancer A - A challenging dancer but so much fun to dance with. I'm sorry I didn't get more dances with you either evening. I'll have to practice some alternate handed moves, sorry I couldn't do any better.

Dancer B - Always scary asking you to dance.. and I did it twice. Albeit only once per night. The dance on the second night was absolutely dazzling.

Dancer C - Always a pleasure dancing with you, When you had a bad dance I knew I needed to get you back onto the dance floor. You made my night pass all too quickly as when I danced with you time stopped. You were by far the person I danced the most with over the weekend. And I cherish each and every dance we share. When you and I dance, there's no one else on the dance floor. And I enjoy every moment even if you do keep telling me I'm sticking my tongue out !!

Dancer D - Was so nice to meet you and have our sole dance. One wasn't enough and I'll have to grab you for another few next time you're around.

    and lastly

Dancer E - I didn't get a chance to dance with you on the Saturday but I enjoyed our dance on the Sunday immensely. Your smile is so infectious and you always really seem to enjoy dancing that it rubs off on those you dance with too. I wasn't the only one who noticed you having a great night that night. As always it's a pleasure dancing with you.. the dances too few and too far apart for my liking.

Dancer A : You're just fab! You've got so much to offer as a dancer, just find the confidence and you'll be a wow. It makes my night dancing with you.

Dancer B: Challenging, but always a pleasure! Such a light touch

Dancer C: What can I say, not only a sweet dancer but a sweet person too

    Blues Party GUU 21st July

    Dancer X:

It was so good to see you ... Where have you been?
    I missed you so much!

Your dancing inspires and challenges me
You teach me so gently, always with a smile and a laugh.

And then there is that dance later in the Slow Blues room
I will remember that one for ever

    Dancer Y:

It was lovely to meet you at last!

After that one amazing dance I tried to catch you again
No avail - you were constantly on the floor
Ah well, maybe I will find you next time
    Thank you for the memory

    Thank you

    Inverness last night:

I'm going to make this a general comment because I had 3 really AMAZING dances last night. I went home lifted emotionally and feeling so much better than I did when I arrived. Two dancers made me feel light as a feather, not easy (I do hope Dancer A hasn't given himself a hernia!!) and dancer number 3 well.... sigh! I was in that happy space in my head for hours.......

A - I recognised your face, we'd danced before. We danced and I remembered. Remembered that we'd had lovely connection last time and was smiling to rediscover it. We danced again several times, always the blues room. Every time, playful and fun, every dance a pleasure.

B - not sure if we've ever danced before, a track I wanted to dance to, we went onto the floor with no expectations - and created a dance together, shaping it out of the music, crafting moves and movements, flowing shapes and patterns. Wonderful. A second dance and the creation continued. We'll dance again.

Thought I'd brought this back to the top and add a bit about Blaze III.

A wonderful leader steps to his feet
Starts to dance to music clear and deep
    Moves, timed to a heartbeat,
    Frame and footwork so neat.

    Time is in your eyes.
    The music soars and sighs.
To be in your arms I long,
Captured in time by an amazing song.

Time stood still and time flew.
Best dance of the night, I knew.
This one I would remember -
    Every year, January to December.

    Wow this thread is amazing

    Brean Sands - Breeze - October 2007

Saturday night (I think) STDJ set in the pub... I came to grab you from outside whilst you were talking to dance to a song that we both loved but was unsure we could dance to.... It turned out to be one of our best dances EVER and I will never forget it. Our connection was the best it has been and we both came off the dance floor feeling ecstatic. Mind you we did have to smile as we both waited for the instrumental section as it didn't occur
You know who you are xxx

Also Brean Sands - Breeze - October 2007
Blues room. We first met and danced at SP and had that connection. We could see it and so could others. Danced at Brean many dances and the connection was electric. I don't see you often but have to dance with you when I do see you. You are my favourite blues dancer and the entire room goes into a blur when we dance

    Fulham - Feb 11th 2002

Our eyes whispered words of Love,
With every swift and longing glance,
And held our deep and urgent thoughts
To feel each others fragile touch.

The rhythm built within our hearts
And matched the music’s subtle beat,
    A syncopated flutter in time
And a moment in time that will never cease.

I stood before you and offered myself,
And with your touch you took my soul,
But then I realised it was never mine to give
For it had always been yours, and yours alone.

    I remember your caress,
And the thin rope of your spine,
    And I remember your words
As you placed your hand in mine.

You held me close, and then closer still,
In a warm embrace we danced as one,
And even as the music stalled too soon
We realised that our lives had just begun..

No prizes for guessing who this is about...

This won't be poetic in the slightest. But I just had to say I had the best dance with this guy tonight. I don't even know if he's on here....Lets just say he's very 'trying' and I've been enjoying our dances more and more, especially seeing as my hands don't so slippy in his company

Thanks (if you *ever* read it)

    Edinburgh party 28th June 2008

    Dancer A

Thank you so much, I had a lovely dance or two. I wish I could have danced with you sme more.
    Thank you for the memories.

    Dancer B

I apologise for being a pain in the neck. It wasn't meant I think the heat went to my head. I will try and behave better next time we meet.

    Dancer C

Thank you for the dance - You make me stretch and learn, while never making me feel unable to follow you.

    Dancer D

You are so smooth! Followers left handed moves must be so counterintuitive, yet you were amazing, and left me with the best dance of my night

    Thank you all

Re: The Dance "Bottle in the See" Thank-You Note game

I have seen you around for a long time and have always thought you were a little bit creepy. You asked me to dance last week and you were very sweet and friendly. Dancing with you gave me the opportunity to reflect on how little it costs to be pleasant, how I shouldn't pre-judge and that each dance should be entered into with an open mind, open heart and determination to enjoy those fleeting three minutes. Thanks for the valuable lesson.

I feel like I'm talking to myself on this thread, but my memory is so sieve like the happiness is best recorded here so I can relive it. Come on join in folks

Beach Ballroom July 08 : Saturday and Sunday night parties - I had such fun - here are just a few dancers....

    A) Fun and energetic dancer - always up for a laugh, yet so gentle.

    B) Unknown before tonight, incredibly light touch. I hope we meet again.

    C) Challenging slave driver who makes me grow so fast, yet always with a wonderful smile.

    D) This was the first time you danced left hand moves with me, I hope I lived up to your standard better than I normally do.

    E) I caught you for a lovely dance. I hope you enjoyed those three minutes as much as I did. Oh I do hope so..

    F) You let me gatecrash your queue of dancers not once but at least twice each night. Thanks for putting up with me so much.

    G) You took my challenge with both hands and gave me such an amazing three dances (over the two nights). Thank you. I loved it. I want to learn more.. Please?

    H) You seem so oblivious of the pleasure that you give. I don't think you know quite how good a dancer you really are. Memories of your dances with me are relived for many months to come, and bring colour to many grey a day at work. Thank you.

    • Was coming to the Blues room worth it? - You lit the room with Starlight for me, so Thank you
    • What do you mean you are beginner at Blues? You must know the effect you had on me... I hope I showed that inside I glowed

Kirriemuir Blues weekend 5-7th September 2008 - One Extra Special Lead!

    Blues Addiction

Your eyes sparkle as you ask me to dance
I'm so glad you gave me a chance
    Connection sizzles between our fingers
Less is more, and so let's linger

Forget time - it does not exist
Bluesing with you I cannot resist
    Your touch takes me higher
    Slow Blues is my desire

    Lazy movements
    Timeless moments
    That look you gave
    Your smile I'll save

    Exquisite feelings
    You've left me reeling
    Barriers broken
    Addiction woken

    Your cheek against mine
Eyes closed, I'm in a trance
    Intoxication like wine
    From The Perfect Dance

    Simple and Sensuous
    Dance with me - again??

    Sorry for being soppy.

Breaking my self imposed exile, I just had to post this message...

    Location - Champs

I'm so lucky... you helped me, guided me, brought out the best in me... and then complimented me. You are an angel.

    Location - Champs Blues Room

    1) WOW. Truly amazing. So delicate, you transported me to another place. I heard the gasp, but it's all your fault!

    2) You really are gorgeous, believe it. It's always fun. You add so much to my confidence with the fantastic dances we always have.

    3) Yes, there really was something in my pocket . Every dance with you was like floating on air.

    4) Did we even move. I think I remember the start of the track, I recall the song ending. Everything in between is just a dream.

    5) You are so much better than you believe. Not quite sure how, but we were in the clouds.

    6) It took me so long to find you. Now I never want to let you go.

Thank you so much to all of the above, you made Saturday an unbelievable experience .
